Division 6 Best Special Section/Category 26 First place Super Indy Staff, The Indianapolis Star Comments: The Super Indy section projects big and fun two elements you expect when the Super Bowl comes to town. Its a well-designed guide and backgrounder for residents and visitors alike. Breakouts, graphics and high-quality photos make material accessible and attractive. Second place For the love of children: Echoes of a tragedy Virginia Black & Mary Kate Malone, South Bend Tribune Comments: This extraordinary First Amendment effort exposes child protection issues and holds authorities responsible. Had this been planned as a section with greater clarity in presentation from the start (rather than evolving as a quick repurposing of a series), this entry might have taken first place. Third place Evansvilles new jewel Staff, Evansville Courier & Press Comments: Stories, graphics and photos combine to give readers useful information and context about a new stadium. Well-organized and nicely designed. Best Use of Graphics/Category 27 First place Where local food deserts are; Blue Bloods; Super Bowl hits the Hoosier state Deb Hile, Kurt Cunningham & Travis Kipper, The Times (Munster) Comments: Well-organized and highly informational.
