Makes me think about the folks that fight fires and their training. Black and white works well. Green plants and colorful turnouts meld into strong composition. Firefighters were called to a barn fire at Francis Lindauer and Sons Farms. A 60-by-70-foot structured was in flames. Questionable crop (firefighter at top). Best General News Photo/Category 16 First place Plunge for Paul Eric Tretter, Ferdinand News Comments: Great moment captured at the peak of action. Good work by the photographer to be in front of the action even though it probably involved getting wet. The air temp hovered around 45 degrees and the water in the Ferdinand State Forest Lake was a chilly 38 degrees Feb. 19, but that didn���t stop 151 friends and loved ones of Paul Fischer from jumping, running or skittering into the water.
