Division 5 Best Editorial Page/Category 22 First place Jeff Ward, The Star Press (Muncie) Comments: Outstanding design makes it easy for the reader to wade into deeper opinions. Very interactive. Innovative use of social media. This is the way of the future. Second place Dave Bangert, Journal & Courier (Lafayette) Comments: Local voices through columns and letters, strong editorials and the nifty ���Trending��� and ���My Life, My Story��� features make this entry eye-catching. Good design throughout. This paper clearly converses with ��� not at ��� its community. Third Place Max Jones, Tribune-Star (Terre Haute) Comments: Good local writing; solid effort. Best Sports Section/Category 23 First place Brad Saleik, Fort Wayne News-Sentinel Comments: Best of the group. It���s obvious a lot of planning and effort goes into the News-Sentinel���s sports section. Enterprising stories take the section beyond the daily grind of game coverage. Impressive design and use of graphics. Content is diverse and comprehensive. Second place Staff, Tribune-Star (Terre Haute) Comments: Great-looking section. Typography is topnotch, and breakout graphics/sigs are done well. Content is solid, but a bit more enterprise would make the section stronger. Third place Greg Fallon, The Star Press (Muncie) Comments: Nice use of photography. Big, bold headlines are also a nice touch. Push for greater diversity of content to strengthen the section ��� game coverage dominates. Best Feature Section or Page(s)/Category 24 First place ETC. Tim Brouk, Emily Carroll & Taya Flores, Journal & Courier (Lafayette) Comments: Unique use of cover art, diverse original content and great quick hits. Easy-to-use news you can use. Second place A&E Emily Carroll, Tim Brouk & Taya Flores, Journal & Courier (Lafayette) Comments: Great use of cover art. Solid, niche A&E feature section. Third place Outdoors Carol Kugler & Stewart Moon, The Herald-Times (Bloomington) Comments: Good original content and use of photos. Full of information about outdoors enthusiasts. Best Business Section or Page(s)/ Category 25 First place Jobs & Money Alicia Morgan, Tribune-Star (Terre Haute) Comments: This section is rich with data and local news of interest to business leaders as well as consumers. It wisely draws on local experts. Centerpiece presentations provide variety while acting as the visual anchor. Second place Business Bill Strother, Carol Kugler & Rod Spaw, The Herald-Times (Bloomington) Comments: Cover page pops with a strong local report and tidy summary of market activity. Inside, recall information and other wire news serves consumers well and deserves to be packaged in front of the non-business content.
