Pike Central's Marching
Band won their class at the
39th Drill on the Hill March-
ing Band competition at
Evansville Reitz on Saturday.
"The competition went ex-
tremely well. The band had
one of their best performances
of the show and we are ecstat-
ic about their performance,"
said Pike Central Band Direc-
tor Andrew Bunker.
Not only did they win their
class with the Chargers' per-
formance of Into the Clouds,
they also won best percussion
in their class.
Bunker said they had their
highest score of the year on
Saturday. It was a full seven
points better than their previ-
ous score.
In their previous marching
band competition at Evans-
ville North the Charger Bri-
gade placed second.
The Charger Brigade will
perform Into the Clouds in a
special presentation for the
community at 7 p.m. on Sat-
urday, October 15 at Pike Cen-
tral.
