Washington man charged with child solicitation By James Capozella Press-Dispatch News news@pressdispatch.net A tip from a Gibson County Deputy Sheriff led to an arrest for child solicitation by Peters- burg Police Officer Chad Mc- Clellan after friending the per- petrator on Facebook with a decoy. Jeffery John Allen, 45, 110 Mill St., Washington, was charged with Child Solicita- tion on September 28 after several weeks of sending pho- tos and messaging between Allen and McClellan through the decoy Facebook account. The arrest developed from the tip from a mother of teen daughters who had been con- tacted by an older man on Facebook. McClellan used a department decoy by the name of "Hope" representing a 13-year-old girl. The profile and messag- es began in early August and concluded long after Allen knew he was communicating with a 13-year-old girl. Allen had expressed fear of get- ting in trouble, but continued the messaging for his plans to meet for sex, according to the report. Allen described perform- ing on her and asked her to perform on him. Nude pic- tures were asked for several times and he gave his phone number as 812-698 -1374. Al- len sent unsolicited photos ex- posing himself and repeatedly encouraged meeting her for il- licit purposes. The picture Allen sent to the Facebook decoy account matched with his Indiana driv- er's license photo according to the report.
