Due to Community Revival at Muren Church, there will be no business meeting this week. The meeting has been moved to June 21. Community Revival at Muren Church is going on this week. Everyone is wel- come. On Saturday, June 24 at 5 p.m. we will be having a fun and family fellowship at the church. Invite a friend. "But the fruit of the Spirit is joy" (Galatians 5:22). The word joy has all but disappeared from our cur- rent Christian vocabulary. One reason is because we have confused joy with hap- piness and have come to be- lieve it is to be found in plea- sure, security and prosperi- ty. In doing this, however, we have believed a lie that Sa- tan is constantly telling the world to believe. But James did not say, "Count it all joy when you fall into an easy chair. He said, count it all joy when you fall into trials" ( James 1:2). Joy is not the same as hap- piness—although they may overlap. Happiness depends on circumstances. Joy de- pends on God. Happiness vanishes when life turns painful and joy keeps going and may even grow. If at any time you have no church to attend, feel free to join us for services. I'm sure you will leave feeling blessed. Jerry "Tuffy" Blackwell, Pastor Sharon Kendall, Reporter June 18, there will be no Sunday evening service, due to Father's Day. Happy Fa- ther's Day. Thought for the week: "The righteous man walks in his integrity; His children are blessed after him" (Prov- erbs 20 :7). Be in prayer this week for the lost, the sick, our church, our country and leaders and always each other. God's blessings on you this week. Try to be kind and show God's love because every- one is fighting some kind of battle. If you don't have a church home, we invite you to any of our services.
