Lineup for the clos- ing day parade will start at 6:30 p.m., on Walnut Street in front of the Old Petersburg Gym, with the parade scheduled to start at 7 p.m. The parade will take South 9th Street to Main Street, then follow Main Street westward and turn left onto South 5th Street for the final leg toward the Petersburg Little League Park. A closing day ceremo- ny – during which tro- phies and awards will be presented – will immedi- ately follow the end of the parade. Winslow Sports League to hold closing day parade, ceremonies Saturday The Winslow Sports League will wrap up its 2017 season with a clos- ing day parade, which is scheduled to start at 1 p.m. on Saturday, June 17. Closing day ceremonies will be held immediately following the parade. Lady Charger Basketball Camp set for June 26-29 Girls who will be enter- ing third through eighth grades this fall will have a chance to improve their skills and learn more about basketball during the Lady Chargers Bas- ketball Camp, which will be held from Monday, June 26, through Thurs- day, June 29, at Peters- burg Elementary School. Pike Central High School head coach Kyle McCutchan and his staff will be conducting two separate camps. The first will be for incoming 3rd through 5th graders from 6 p.m.-7 p.m. The second will be for incoming 6th through 8th graders from 7 p.m.-8 p.m. The cost is $20 per play- er, or $35 for two players, and includes a camp t- shirt. Forms are available at each school's office. Completed registration forms, along with checks made payable to Kyle Mc- Cutchan, should be mailed to: Kyle McCutchan, 410 S. 8th St., Petersburg, IN 47567. Please be sure to note each player's incom- ing grade and their shirt size. Pike Central Chargers to host soccer camp June 23 The Pike Central Char- gers soccer coaching staff and players will be host- ing a one-day camp on Friday, June 23, for boys and girls age four through those who will be entering eighth grade this fall. The camp will be held at the Petersburg Elementary School soccer fields. Session 1 – from 9:30 a.m. to 11 a.m. – will be for boys and girls ages four through fourth grade. Session 2 – from 12 p.m. to 2 p.m. – will be for boys and girls fifth through eighth grade. The registration fee is $20 per player. A camp t- shirt will be provided to those who were pre-reg- istered by Monday, June 5. Registration will also be conducted the day of the camp, but no camp t-shirts will be provided. Completed registration forms, along with checks made payable to "PC Boys Soccer," should be mailed to Amanda How- ald, 941 South State Road 61, Winslow, IN 47598. DistinXion to offer two-day camp at Pike Central DistinXion, a non-prof- it organization founded by Washington's Zeller fam- ily, will be conducting a two-day DistinXion Camp Xperience at Pike Cen- tral High School on Mon- day, July 31, and Tuesday, August 1, for boys and girls who will be entering grades two through eight in the 2017-18 school year. The registration fee for the camp, which fo- cuses on elite basketball and character training, is $ 89. Lady Chargers finish third in PAC all-sports standings By Ed Cahill Press-Dispatch Sports Editor sports@pressdispatch.net Gibson Southern High School remained the queen of the Pocket Athletic Con- ference after claiming the girls' all-sports trophy for the sixth straight year. The Lady Titans, who have claimed the confer- ence's all-sports trophy nine out of the last 10 years, won PAC titles in golf, soccer, basketball, tennis and soft- ball while scoring a total of 680 points. Heritage Hills, which won the PAC title in swimming and track and field, placed a distant second with 580 points, while Pike Central finished third with 462.5 points. The Lady Chargers tied North Posey for third in the all-sports standings in 2015 - 16 with 465 points, fifth in 2014-15 with 392.5 points, sixth in 2013-14 with 345 points, and seventh in 2010 - 11 (345 points), 2011-12 (350) and 2012-13 (325). Forest Park, which won the PAC title in cross country, placed fourth with 460 points, while Southridge fin- ished fifth with 445 points. South Spencer was sixth with 425 points; Tecumseh, which won the PAC title in volleyball, finished eighth with 337.5 points; and Tell City placed ninth with 270 points. In the boys' all-sports trophy competition, Heri- tage Hills – which won the PAC title in soccer and golf – placed first with 726.7 points. The PAC All-Sports Tro- phy was the first won by the Patriots since 2011-12, when they finished in a first-place tie with Gibson Southern. Heritage Hills last won the conference's all-sports tro- phy outright in 2009 -10. Gibson Southern, which had won the PAC All-Sports Trophy outright from 2012- 2013 to 2015 -16, finished second with 612.5 points af- ter winning the PAC title in wrestling. North Posey placed third with 547.5 points, while Tell City, which won PAC titles in cross country and track and field, finished fourth with 510 points. Pike Central, which won the PAC title in swimming, placed fifth with 495 points. The Chargers finished third in the all-sports stand- ings in 2015 -16 with 525 points, seventh in 2014-15 with 395 points, eighth in 2013-14 with 370 points, sixth in both 2011-12 (440 points) and 2012-13 (465), and eighth in 2010 -11 with 405 points. Forest Park, which won the PAC title in tennis, placed sixth with 496.7 points; Southridge, which won the PAC title in wres- tling, placed seventh with 461.7 points; South Spen- cer, which won the PAC ti- tle in baseball, placed eighth with 365 points; and Tecum- seh placed ninth with 205 points.
