Senior men's golf league being held on Thursdays On Thursday, June 8, 27 senior and some not-so-se- nior golfers enjoyed a beau- tiful sunny day while par- ticipating in the Thursday morning Senior Men's Golf League at the Prides Creek Golf Course. The nine-hole format, with teams decided by the luck of the draw from a deck of cards, was won by the foursome of Steve Pride, Stan Helsley, John Burns and Steve Arnold after a putt-off against Ter- ry Werne, Bob Deffendoll, Chris Wilson and Eddie Fiscus. These two four- somes had tied after nine holes of play with identical scores of seven-under-par. Men, young or old, are welcome to participate each Thursday morning at 10 a.m. at the Prides Creek Golf Course for nine holes of fun and friendly compe- tition. Jack Cunningham of Vincennes Lincoln and Eric Brinker of Evansville North tied for first place among individual partic- ipants with scores of 70, while Spencer Wagner of Evansville Mater Dei and Peyton Snoeberger of See- ger tied for third at 71, and Jackson Franceville of Cas- cade and Owen Price of Evansville North tied for fifth at 72. Advancing to the state tournament as individuals were Cunningham, Wag- ner, Snoeberger, Francev- ille and Kasey Lily of Plain- field, who shot a 74.
