Mr. Black holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Excelsior College and is a Certified Resource Specialist through Appalachian State University’s Basic Skills Professional Development Institute. In addition, Mr. Thom Black Black has experience teaching GED and Human Resource Development classes for both Gaston and Isothermal Community Colleges. He has also served as an Adjunct Instructor in Broadcast Production Technology at CCC. He and his wife, Sherri, reside in Shelby. John Bowen John Bowen has been named Discipline Coordinator, Auto Body at CCC. Mr. Bowen has over twenty-five years of experience in the auto-body industry and spent much of this time working with NASCAR teams with the most recent being Penske Racing. He received his diploma in Auto Body Repair from CCC and has served as an Adjunct Instructor at CCC. Mr. Bowen has two children. He and his wife, Donna, cur- rently reside in Lawndale. Laura Bowen has been promoted to Director, Planning and Institutional Effectiveness. Mrs. Bowen recently served as Financial Aid Coordinator at CCC and received an Associate in Arts degree from CCC and a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Laura Bowen Gardner-Webb University. In 2004, she was named Outstanding Staff Member at CCC. She and her husband live in Grover. Judy Dover has joined CCC as a Nursing Assistant Instructor. She is native of Cleveland County and received her Associate Degree Nursing from Caldwell Community College and Bachelor of Nursing from Winston- Salem State University. She Judy Dover has previously been employed as Director of Nursing Services at White Oak Manor in Kings Mountain and as Clinical Nurse Manager at Valdese General Hospital. Mrs. Dover is also a member of the American Nurses Association. She has two daughters, Alesha and Ashley, and resides in Kings Mountain. Tajsha Eaves has been promoted to full-time English Instructor. Miss Eaves is a graduate of Shelby High School and served as an Adjunct English Instructor at CCC since 2007. She holds a Master of Arts degree in English with concentrations in Contemporary American Christina Bell Political Science with a concentration in American Government and with a minor in English from Mars Hill College. Miss Eaves has also served as an Adjunct Faculty mem- ber at Gardner-Webb University. She has been publishing poetry for over five-years and continues to work as a freelance copy editor and proofreader for up and coming authors. She is a life- long member of Sigma Tau Delta, English Honors Society and Delta Zeta Sorority. Miss Eaves is the daughter of the late Belvin and Mrs. Brenda Eaves. She currently resides in Boiling Springs. Mike Falls Mike Falls has been promoted to System Administrator at CCC. Mr. Falls served as Computer Network Specialist for four years. He holds an Associate in Science degree in Networking Administration and is cur- rently pursuing his Bachelor of Science in Information Systems. He and his wife, Jeanne, currently reside in Cherokee County, South Carolina. Yolanda Graham- Gibson has been pro- moted to full-time Biology Instructor. Mrs. Gibson was previously employed at the CCC as an Adjunct Instructor. She earned a Bachelor of Arts in Environmental Science from UNC-Wilmington and a Masters degree in Biology form Wright State Girl Scouts Carolinas Peaks To Piedmont Welcomes New CFO Girl Scouts Carolinas Peaks to Piedmont is pleased to welcome the addition of Steve Henderson as the Chief Financial Officer (CFO). Henderson brings with him more than 30 years of work experience in account- ing and finance for a variety of businesses including several Fortune 50 companies. Most of his experience is in the non profit sector. As CFO for GSCP2P, Henderson will be a member of the council’s senior leader- ship team, and primarily be responsible for the development, implementation and man- agement of all finance/accounting, internal control, and budgeting functions; ensuring compliance with all local, funding agency, state, federal and Girl Scouts of the USA regulations and guidelines. Henderson will report directly to GSCP2P’s Chief Executive Officer, assisting with the achievement of the organization's mission to build girls of cour- age, confidence and character, who make the world a better place. “I am delighted to welcome Steve,” said Anne Watkins, Board Chair of Girl Scouts Carolinas Peaks to Piedmont. “With his prov- en track record in operations management, his focus on business process improvement, his strong financial acumen and his commit- ment to the Girl Scout mission, I look forward to his many contributions.” Yolanda Graham-Gibson University in Dayton, Ohio. Christina Bell Hill has been promoted to full-time Cosmetology Instructor. Since 2006, Mrs. Hill served as an Adjunct Instructor in the Cosmetology depart- ment. She earned a Cosmetology diploma and Associate in Arts degree in Criminal Justice from CCC and holds a Bachelor Tajsha Eaves Literature, Women’s Literature, and African- American Literature from Gardner-Webb University. She is currently working toward a Master of Arts degree in Communication and Leadership Studies with Gonzaga University in conjunction with recent comple- tion graduate level course work with the University of Southern Maine. She completed an undergraduate Honors concentration in Psychology from Gardner-Webb University. She received her Bachelor of Arts degree in of Arts degree in Social Work from UNC- Charlotte. Mrs. Hill works with the YMCA Black Achievers and attends Mt. Olive Baptist Church in Kings Mountain. She and her hus- band, Tyrone, reside in Crouse. Shaunda Leonhardt has been promoted to Director of Reporting and Data Collection. Mrs. Leonhardt is a graduate of Burns High School and has served CCC in several capacities for 15 years with her most recent position as Registrar. She earned her Associate in Applied Shaunda Leonhardt Science degree and Associate in Arts degree from CCC and earned her Bachelor of Arts degree from UNC Charlotte and a Masters of Arts degree from UNC Greensboro. In 2006, she was the recipient of the Outstanding Staff Award and also completed the North Carolina Community College Leadership Program. Mrs. Leonhardt has two children, Gracie and Wyatt.
