OCTOBER 2010 – It's A Good Life Monthly Covered Dish Luncheon Supplement To Shelby Shopper & Info As of July 1, 2010, the Neal Center Kitchen Table will no longer serve meals on Fridays, with the exception of annual special events (Golden 90’s, Veterans Celebration, Thanksgiving and Christmas Feasts, etc.). The Kitchen Table Mon-Fri. 11:30-1:00 Instead, two covered dish meals will be scheduled each month with the exception of November and December, when everyone is so busy with the holidays. The Council on Aging/Neal Senior Center, located at 100 TR Harris Drive, Shelby, NC, will hold covered dish luncheons on Friday, October 15 and Friday, October 29, 2010 from 11:30-1:00 pm in the Performing Arts Room of the Center. Everyone is invited to attend. Please bring your favorite dish and join in all the fun. If you are not a cook, feel free to contribute by bringing something pur- chased at the grocery store or local restaurant. To reserve a seat and attend the luncheon, please contact the Senior Center (704-482-3488) at least one week prior to the luncheon(s) you plan to attend. Please note: The Kitchen Table (dining room) is now CLOSED on Fridays. Covered Dish Luncheon Rules: Everyone must bring something to share unless you are a first time visitor. No takeouts will be allowed.
