With not a seat to spare, par tici- pants were taught how to paint the per fect Fall picture and enjoy a deli- cious br unch, along with Calorita's famous drinks to enjoy. "My name is Olivia Howald and I own Calorita Food & Prep," Howald said. "I've been utilizing the restau- rant por tion of the building to host small events and bring more to do in our small town. We hosted many events since our grand opening in May." This Fall, Calorita has more events planned, including movie nights for kids, a pumpkin succulent class, an ultimate girls night, Winter Paint- ing With a Twist, pumpkin car ving, cookie decorating, a holiday catering showcase with free samples, brunch with Santa & more. "I'm open to any and all ideas," Howald said. "I've grown up here and I'm now growing my family here with baby number two due in Febr uar y. I'd love to bring more to do for kids, teens, adults and families." On Saturday, September 3, Painting with a Twist, of Evansville, came to the Calorita location to offer a painting class, along with an all-you-can-eat brunch and drinks. Calorita has plans for the coming months and wants to hear from ever yone what events they would enjoy having the community. During the Painting with a Twist Class at Calorita on Saturday, participants learned tricks and tips on how to paint the perfect Fall old-fashioned pick-up truck with falling leaves and a tree. Owner Olivia Howald plans to have another painting class this Winter. NEWS BRIEFS Dubois Co. Museum celebrates grandparents day this Sunday Dubois County Museum will celebrate Grandparents Day, Sunday, Sept. 11, from 1-4 p.m. The museum is located at 2704 N.
