Thursday, May 12: Bosco stick, yogurt, corn, green beans, car- rot sticks, fruit cocktail and milk. Friday, May 13: Chicken tenders, pota- to smiles, broccoli w/ cheese, bread stick, or- ange slices and milk. Monday, May 16: Cheeseburger, potato wedges, California blend, carrot sticks, strawber- ries and milk. Tuesday, May 17: Chicken alfredo, roasted broccoli, carrot sticks, garlic toast, grapes and milk. Ms� Burkett chose Av- ery Gerling for the K-2 Twig of the Week� Av- ery comes to school ev- ery day ready to learn and give her best� Avery knows all of her sight words, is ready for read- ing in the first grade, and always sounds words out on her own when writing� She is a kind and gentle friend to everyone she meets, and an overall won- derful example for her peers to look up to� Mr� Putler chose Blaze Matthews as the 3-5 Twig of the Week� Blaze has worked very hard this year in third grade and he always puts forth his best effort in the classroom� He is very respectful to his teachers and his class- mates� Blaze is going to do great things in fourth grade and in the future� Mrs� Hart chose 8th grader Meredith Spear for the Middle School Twig of the Week� Mer- edith does a great job in Industrial Technology Class� She has a great attitude and works very hard� Meredith makes her classmates smile daily� Mr� Brogan was in the school spirit on "May the 4th"� He brought out his Star Wars characters in cel- ebration of 'Happy Star Wars Day�' May the fourth be with you� MENU Tuesday, May 10: Nacho supreme, refried beans, romaine salad, salsa, sidekicks and milk. Mrs� Kuester chose Aaron Riggs as our kindergarten student of the week� Aaron has shown so much growth this year ac- ademically, because of his hard work and great attitude� Aaron is a good friend to others� He is quietly helpful and humble� Keep shining, Aaron! We are proud of you! Mrs� Spindler, the computer teacher, chose Hunter McManus as our fifth grade student of the week� Hunter is a model stu- dent in class� He listens and does exact- ly as directed� He helps out the teachers and helps the other students� I have wit- nessed him many times helping students who are struggling� He is kind and respect- ful to all! Congrats to Hunter for represent- ing OCS well! Mrs� Seale chose Kannon Sisk as our eighth grade student of the week� Kannon is a hard-working 8th grade student at Ow- ensville Community School� He always has a smile and kind words for everyone� Kan- non is dedicated and always gives 100% ef- fort on a daily basis� He successfully man- ages to balance his academics and extra- curricular activities� Kannon is a proud Kickapoo� Good luck in High School! ST. JAMES FIRST GRADE NEWS Mrs� Schneider's 1st Grade at St� James Cath- olic School is excited to be wrapping up the school year to get ready for 2nd Grade! We had a great spring field trip to Wesselman Woods where we were able to go on a hike to learn about different plants and trees� The students were also able to see a peregrine fal- con and turkey vulture up close and learn ma- ny fun facts about these birds� We also had a great Mother's Day Tea celebration with all our mothers� We are so thankful to have had a great and healthy school year� Thank you to all of our amazing 1st grad- ers: Drew, Camden, Banks, Liam, Henry F�, Frances, Cece, Wy- att, Josie, Jace, Atticus, Izzy, Virginia, Dominic, Henry R�, Presley, Ben, Tyson, Norah, Mylo, Fin- ley and Grady� Happy Birthday to Wyatt, Dominic, Ben, Frances, Atticus and Drew who will celebrate their birthdays in June and July� Keep up the good work as we strive to be Saints in the Making, 1st Grade� Mrs� Schneider's 1st graders Wyatt, Dominic, Ben, Frances, Atticus and Drew who will celebrate their birthdays in June and July� Mrs� Schneider's 1st graders enjoying their time at Wesselman Woods in the Nature Playscape� Our second graders recently went on a retreat to prepare for their First Communion� Ty Allen, Charlie Nix and Nora Wilzbacher are making bread at one of the stations� Alyse Jones and Emma Reis- ing are proud of the cross puz- zle that they completed! Hadley Wilzbacher, McKin- ley Catt, and Averie Church are working on making a de- cade of the rosary bracelet� Lexa Neidig, Brailey Smith, Benton Smith and A J Hulfachor are showing off their completed Rosary Bracelets�
