MS boys best North 66-62 By James Capozella Star-Times Sports sports@sgstartimes.com Middle school boys claimed nine firsts against Evansville North this past Friday, with Brody Klem and Lloyd Sellers each claiming two wins in indi- vidual events for the boys. Klem threw for 42'5" for the win in the shot, with Bobby Robinson second, at 39'9". Klem was tops in the dis- cus with a toss of 120'8", and Robinson grabbed second with a distance of 117'8". Lloyd Sellers was the easy winner in the 300 hur- dles clocking 47.49, with Kayden Cunningham third in 50.00. Lloyd crossed the finish line first in the 200 dash, with a time of 25.75. Isaac Dill claimed the 400 meter run in 59.10. Chance Wolf grabbed the blue in the 800 meter run clock- ing 7:28.19, with team mate Adam Alston second in 2:31.55. Cooper Townsend added a win in the 60 me- ter dash, with a time of 8.28. The 4x800 relay won in 10 :36.60 consisted of Chance Wolf, Aidan Aus- tin, Matt Wilsbacher and Ian Maikrantz. Ortiz, Dill, Ivy and Townsend captured the seventh grade 4x100 meter relay win, clocking :58.48. Alston and Wilz- bacher were second and third (5:30.52 and 5:31.31) in the 1600 ; and Isaac Dill claimed a second at high jump (4'10") and Noah Kli- ester was third (4'8"). Sellers was third in the 110 hurdles, with a time of 18.56, which tied North. Brody Klem was third in the 100 dash clocking .31, just one tenth of a second out of first place. MS Girls claim big PAC win By James Capozella Star-Times Sports sports@sgstartimes.com Big win is a term that pref- aces "huge" when it comes to the Titan middle school Pocket Athletic Conference Championship the girls won at Tell City this past Satur- day, with over a dozen par- ticipating schools. The team garnered 118 points to their nearest competitor in Heri- tage Hills with 87. Emma Fuhs was the champion in the 100 me- ter hurdles clocking 17.22, with Saige Kissel seventh in 18.67. The 4x800 relay was an easy PAC champi- onship with Paige Schnaus, Maggie McEllhiney, Gracie Williams and Molly Spin- dler clocking an 18 second win in 10 :58.65. The team of Izzy Pohl, Allie Deal, Saige Kissel and Emma Fuhs were Champs in the sev- enth grade 4x100 relay, with a time of 54.67. The team of Allie Deal, Kynlee Reeves, Molly Spindler and Reese McKannon won the 4x400 relay by more than four sec- onds, with a time of 4:30.05. Taylor Weyer, Reese McKa- nnon, Izzy Ping and Kynlee Reeves placed second in the eighth grade 4x100, clock- ing 55.68. McKannon placed second in the 400 dash (1:02.79), and Allie Deal was eighth (1:08.58). Molly Spindler was second in the 800 meter run (2:31.54), and McEll- hiney was ninth (2:43.63). Reeves and Schnaus were second and third in the high jump clearing 4'11" and 4'10" respectively. Reeves tied Raider Addi- son Cox, but got second on jump numbers. Maci Spin- dler was a second place fin- isher in the discus with a toss of 83'11", with team mate Devyn Brent 20th at 51'. Spindler had a toss of 26'3" for second in the shot, and Brent was tied at 18th (20'4"). Fuhs and Kissel were fourth and fifth in the 300 meter hurdles, clocking 52.97 and 53.11. McKan- non and Reese with sixth and eighth respectively, in the 100 meter dash (13.81 and 13.98), less than three quarters of a second out of first. Kissel also added fourth place points in the 200 dash, clocking 28.17. Spindler added a sixth in the long jump (13'1.25"), and Deal was 15th (11'10"). Kelly Hall was 10th in the 1600 clocking 6:10.89, and Izabelle Simpson was 13th in 6:23.29.
