Senior shortstop Alyx Abbott chipped in with three hits – including a run-scoring double – as the Lady Chargers improved to 8 -5 with their fourth win in their last five games. As a team, Pike Central collected a total of 13 hits – including a triple by junior second baseman Syd- ney Brooks – off of Vincennes Lincoln junior left- hander Alexis Hein. "We hit the ball a little bit better," Lady Chargers head coach Rick Weisman said. "We don't face too many lefties, so seeing that was good. But, still, regardless, if you put the ball in play, they have to make plays." "Some of them got away from them, like they did us," Weisman added. "But we did sting the ball."
