Tuesday, May 10 : Spa- ghetti with meat sauce, tossed salad, cinnamon roll and grapes. Wednesday, May 11: Pig in a blanket, potato wedges, broccoli with cheese, apple and gelatin with juice. CALENDAR May 5: JAM Club Carnival May 9: 3rd Grade Field Trip May 10 : OES students vis- it May 11: Student Land- scaping Project Aynslee Key, Emma Powell, Cassie Perry and Diego Stephens watch Emma Brock drop some- thing into the compost bag in Jackie Henson's classroom. The students added a variety of items to the bag and then sealed it up to open again on Earth Day. Jackie Henson opens the compost bag the class prepared about a month earlier. On Earth Day the class discussed what items decomposed and found that plastic baggies and pencil stubs were some things that did not. Braelyn Barnett from Jenny Cherry's class works intently on a classroom chromebook The fifth graders in Kathi Cochren's gym class are working on an Indy 500 Unit. Isaac Burdette and Zach Beck roll tires as the class finds out how fit and strong they need to be to be a part of the pit crew. Autumn Ficklin from Amanda Gonzales' third grade class takes a bite of her jalapeño bagel. All the third grade students got to try the hot bagels after their "Jalapeño Bagels" story in reading. Right: The second grade participated in a pro- gram called My Plate. The kids learned about the food groups and how to eat healthy.
