Lau- ra had a great birthday #37 with two cakes, a balloon with an ink pen, sleepwear for cold weather, and cup- cakes she took to her peo- ple at work. Even though she had to work, she did have a great birthday. We just found out from Mark and Kim Messmer that Luke, their son, asked Kathryn Anderson to ac- cept his proposal, and she said yes. Luke and Kath- ryn, we congratulate you both on the engagement over the weekend of Jan. 20 -21. I heard that more snow is on its way to the Winslow area of up to five inches when all is done. Now we may get less or we may get more, because South- western Indiana is always changing every day. If the snow comes, I guess we may be here at the cabin and wait till the streets are clear again. If the snow or weather comes into your neck of the woods, we hope that you stay safe and please don't take chanc- es and drive on slippery roads if you can help it. As the lights begin to dim on this week's ramblings, we hope you all still keep an eye on family and friends, slow down and enjoy your beautiful area, then al- ways smile, wave, and say hi to everyone you see this week.
