Seniors Jacob Bohnert, Lu- kas Hill and Jackson Keepes won two individual events each while senior Ty Cas- sitty and sophomore Jersey Mills finished first in two in- dividual events. Bohnert placed first in the 200 -yard freestyle with a time of 1:57.64, almost 5 -1/2 seconds ahead of Mills, who finished second with a per- sonal record time of 2:03.12, besting his previous PR time of 2:06.34. Bohnert al- so placed first in the 100 -yard freestyle with a time of 51.24 seconds, more than eight second ahead of Evansville Mater Dei's Will Simmon, who finished second with a time of 59.83 seconds. Lukas Hill placed first in the 200 -yard individual med- ley with a time of 2:07.10, more than nine seconds ahead of Evansville Mater Dei's Adam Barnes, who fin- ished second with a time of 2:16.28. He also placed first in the 500 -yard freestyle with a time of 5:14.48, almost 53 seconds ahead of Evansville Mater Dei's Tyler Lucas, who finished second with a time of 6:07.16. Hendrixson, a 6 -foot senior who has signed to play at Di- vision II Maryville University in St. Louis, Mo., hit six of 13 field goal attempts – including one three-pointer in as many tries – and was 2-for-3 from the free throw line as the La- dy Chargers fell to 10 -10 over- all and 4-4 in the Pocket Ath- letic Conference. Goff, competing in the 285 -pound weight class, received a first-round bye and was awarded a win by forfeit in the quarterfinal round to advance to the semifinals, where he won by pin – in 1:32 – over Bedford North Lawrence se- nior David Godsey. Ed Cahill photo By Ed Cahill Press-Dispatch Sports Editor sports@pressdispatch.net Senior Bryant Nalley scored 10 of his game-high 20 points in the fourth quar- ter as the Pike Central High School boys' basketball team rallied for a 41-37 victory over Barr-Reeve on Satur- day, Jan. 27. With their fourth straight win, the Chargers improved to 7-6 overall and 5 -0 at home. The victory also end- ing a string of 20 consecu- tive losses to Barr-Reeve. Pike Central had last defeat- ed the Vikings – by a score of 75 -56 – on Dec. 5, 1997. "I think this game kind of came down to heart and intensity and effort," said Chargers head coach Hunt- er Elliott. "I thought our boys showed a lot of that tonight. We came out and, defensive- ly, I thought we were phe- nomenal the whole game. We made it tough for them to get anything they wanted. And, then, offensively, I thought we were working and getting the shots we needed to get." Trailing 5 -2 with 4:45 left in the first period, Pike Central scored five straight points – on a three-pointer by senior Cameron Henson and a basket by senior Kyson Western – to take a 7-5 lead. Barr-Reeve, however, an- swered with a 6 -0 scoring run – on a pair of baskets by 6 -foot-8 sophomore Keegan O'Neill and a basket by ju- nior Gabe Gladish – to take an 11-7 lead early in the sec- ond quarter. A fter a basket by Nalley cut the deficit to 11-9, a bas- ket by junior Quentin Yoder and a three-pointer by Glad- ish extended the Vikings' lead to 16 -9 with 4:23 left in the first half. A three-pointer and a pair of free throws by Nalley pulled the Chargers to with- in 16 -14 before a three-point- er by Gladish – off of an as- sist by O'Neill – gave Barr- Reeve a 19 -14 halftime lead. During the first half, Pike Central made just five of 14 field goal attempts and was 2-for-4 from the free throw line while turning the ball over three times.
