The Petersburg Little League 2017 board offi - cers election will be Mon- day, Sept. 10, at 7 p.m. at the Petersburg Little League concession. Anyone interested in a league office or voting for the officers is welcome. New members are re - quired to attend. For more information, call Joey O'Brien at (812) 486-7107. All-Sports Pass available at Pike Central High School Individuals planning on attending a large number of regular season sports contests at Pike Central High School during the 2017-18 school year can save money on admission fees by purchasing the All-Sports Pass. The All-Sports Pass, which is good for all regular season home events at Pike Central High School, costs $70 for adults and $ 50 for students and seniors. A family package is available, if all passes are purchased at the same time. Fans must purchase two adult passes at the regular price and the student passes for students in the same family are $10 each – a savings of $40 per student pass. All-Sports Passes are available at the Pike Central High School front office from 7 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., Monday through Friday. The All-Sports Pass will be good for entry into varsity and junior varsity football games, volleyball, boys' and girls' soccer, boys' and girls' basketball, wrestling, swimming and all spring sports. Petersburg Kiwanis Golf Scramble set for September 9 The Petersburg Kiwan- is Golf Scramble will be held on Saturday, Sept. 9, starting at 9 a.m., at the Prides Creek Golf Course. Sign-ups are now being accepted at Prides Creek Golf Course. The cost is $40 per person or $160 for a four-person team. Cash prizes will be awarded to the top three teams. In addition, hole spon- sorships are available for $100, although donations of any amount will be accepted. Please make checks payable to Kiwan- is and mail them to Dustin Schnarr, P.O. Give us a call: 812-354-8500 Youth Day is October 14 The 12th Annual Pike County Bird Hunter's Club NR A Youth Day is Satur- day, October 14, so mark your calenders for a day of varied outdoor activ- ity. The event begins at 8:00 a.m. EST with sign in, breakfast and then a choice for youth of start- ing with BB gun shoot- ing, darts, 22 rifle, muz- zle loading, archery, trap shooting or Chukar hunt- ing over dogs. A fter lunch and a day of activities for youngsters and their family, a search and rescue demonstration will be presented. That is followed by a random drawing for more than a dozen great prizes includ- ing Remington 1187 and 870 shotguns, Ruger 22 ri- fles and Bear archery sets. All youth ages seven through 18 are welcome and are provided breakfast and lunch. Do not bring any firearms to the event. All equipment plus 12 gauge, 20 gauge, 410 and 22 shells are provided by the club, the NR A and lo- cal organizations and spon- sors. Parents are welcome and can enjoy breakfast and lunch for a donation. All 4-H shooting sports, boy and girl scouts and all other interested youth are welcome. A hunter educa- tion card is required for Chukar hunting. The first 50 youth to register will re- ceive a free T-shirt. The club is located be- tween Oakland City and Petersburg about two miles west of SR 57 at Di- vision Road. Signs will be posted.
