Jesus said you must be born of Holy Spirit (Reference, John 3:3-21) Jesus answered Nicode- mus, a ruler of the Jews, and said, "Verily truly I say unto thee, except a man be born of water and of the spirit, he can not enter in the King- dom of God. That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit." For God so loved the world, that he gave his on- ly begotten Son, that whoso- ever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlast- ing life. For God sent not his Son into the world to con- demn the world; but that the world through him might be saved. Repent of your sins and be forgiven. Be born of the Ho- ly Spirit and live life eternal- ly in the Kingdom of God. Je- sus loves you with an ever- lasting love that never fails or falters. See our Facebook page Glezen Revival Center. We should be sinning less and when people look at us, they should be seeing what God looks like. Denny Wiscaver, Pastor Pam Nutter, Reporter LIGHTHOUSE RECOVERY CENTER, INC. 307 N. 9th Street Petersburg 812-354-1360 Thursday evening at 7 p.m. Chris Hughes will be teaching the 12 step; Sat- urday, May 27 at 7 p.m. Ed- die Willis will be bringing the Word of the Lord. No Mistake in Judgment A young man who graduat- ed from West Point said that so much tension and anxiety built up with regard to final examinations that the best scholar in his class fainted at the first question asked him. He felt that his standing in his chosen profession was at stake, that his future position depended on the manner in which he acquitted himself. If the loss or gain of a little worldly distinction could so move a man, what will be the feeling of the soul when it stands alone at the bar of God? West Point honors are but for the little moment of time here, but the results of this final examination are for eternity. There are often mis- takes made in worldly judg- ment, but there will be no mistakes made at the judg- ment seat of Christ. As a "cell" in the body of Christ, we are account- able to God to communicate the entire Word of God— not just parts that we pick and choose. Sometimes it is so easy to focus only on the ones in our church con- gregations, but we need to ready out to the lost souls around us. We need to do the work of an evangelist and be outward focused. May we reach our lost community for Christ. Each Wednesday at 7 p.m., there will be a DVD study of the Promised Land. We will be starting a new Ray Vander Lann series "That the World May Know." " Sunday morning worship 10 a.m.; Thursday Bible study 7 p.m. Allen Lich, Pastor HOUSE OF MERCY CHURCH Corner of East and Porter Winslow Pastor 812-789-5229 A Church with a family atmosphere and God's love. Sunday morning worship service at 10 a.m. with Sun- day school classes at 11 a.m. Many have not heard this awesome news. Over 2000 years ago a man named Je- sus came to earth in birth to a virgin. He lived to be about 33 1/2 years old. He ministered to people who were afflicted in their bod- ies and they were healed. He preached to multitudes and many believed on Him and their lives were great- ly changed. He went to the cross after being beaten with 39 stripes for the heal- ing of lives, gave His life as a sacrifice for people to be saved, healed and deliv- ered from bondages. Do you know this man Jesus as your savior and Lord of your life? Just ask Him into your heart today, and He will come and life will never be the same. The main thing is that you have made Jesus the main thing in your life. Have a blessed day and may you be- gin to think. Something good is about to happen, and brother and sister and this could be that day. I believe we are living in a time that some amazing things are about to transpire in the Kingdom of God and for His children. If you do not know Him as Lord and Saviour, invite Him into your life today. Our main focus in life should be for the lost, hurt- ing, helpless and undone. Pray for your president and all government officials, federal, state, county and lo- cal. This is being in agree- ment with God's Word. Re- member those that are sick, in the hospitals, nursing homes, loved ones and your pastor. Take time to read God's Word and pray. Be a friend to someone in need and be a blessing to those around you. What is missing in Ch_ _ ch? Think about it. George Bruce, Pastor MAIN STREET PRESBYTERIAN CHURCH 10th and Main Streets, Petersburg 812-354-6844 Sunday school 9:15 a.m.; Sunday worship 10 :30 a.m. We have a nursery for chil- dren up to the age of seven and we also have a van route in Petersburg to pick anyone up. Come visit us, our doors are always open to you. Unanswered prayer When prayers go unan- swered, we may ask if God hears. Is he listening? Is he even there? If he hears, why is he silent? Does he really love me? Does he care? We may ask such ques- tions in moments of desper- ation and discouragement. But let us consider an alter- native possibility, a truth supported throughout Scrip- ture: No prayer goes unan- swered. As William Arthur said, "To someone who prays in faith, unanswered prayers are simply the evidence that the answer is much closer." Office hours: 9 a.m.-noon, Monday-Friday.
