Perinatal Loss Support – Expectant par- ents who suddenly lose their child often ex- perience a wide range of emotions and grief. Ruppel, 70, of Vincennes, passed away on Wednesday, January 12, 2022, at Good Samaritan Hospital. She was born on January 22, 1951, to the late Leland and Doris (Lay) Lucas. She was a lifelong resident of Vincennes. She worked as a department manager at Walmart for many years and towards the end of her career, worked as a cashier. She was a member of the Vincennes Moose Lodge 281, and a life- long member of the VFW Post 1157 in Vincennes. She loved to spend time with friends and family, to mushroom hunt, and to cook and can food. She is survived by her chil- dren, Travis (Sandy) Ruppel, of Petersburg, and Andrea (Scott) Shick, of Lawrencev- ille, Ill.; five grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; her siblings, Linda McCoy, Janice Garner and Steve Berry; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; her sisters, Betty Manning and Sally Abel; and her brother, Eu- gene Lucas. Linxwiler, 85, of Princeton, passed away Wednesday, Jan. 12, 2022, at home. She was born July 2, 1936, in Princeton to Alvin and Locie (Smith) Jarvis. She was a devout Christian her whole life and married the love of her life, Bobby Linx- wiler, on April 22, 1977. They were blessed with 25 years together before his passing in 2002. She is survived by her chil- dren, Dale (Lisa) Young, of Princeton, Dennis Young, of Petersburg, Randy Young, of Princeton, Sandra (Mark) Boling, of Mt. Olympus, and Kristina Harper, of Owens- ville; 10 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren; sister, Virginia Houchins; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; and siblings, Martha Morris, Nao- mi Jarvis, Gilbert Jarvis and Harvey Jarvis. Funeral service was at 1 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 15, 2022, at Colvin Funeral Home in Princeton, officiated by Pas- tor Joe Henson. Interment fol- lowed at Oddfellows Cemetery in Princeton. BET TY EVELENA HARGUS Betty Evelena (Ash) Har- gus, 90, went to be with the Lord on January 13, 2022, sur- rounded by her family. She was born in Barber County, Kan. on December 7, 1931, to Arthur Earl and Ber- tha Ash. She attended Medicine Lodge High School and the Church of Christ. While work- ing in Larned, Kan., she met and married Samuel Ralph Hargus on April 11, 1950, and he preceded her in death on September 23, 1986. The family moved to Peters- burg in 1970. She was a mem- ber of the First Baptist Church in Petersburg and later attend- ed the Bethel General Baptist Church. She was a member of Winslow OES and a past mem- ber of the Cheerio Homemak- ers Club. She had worked at Pike Central. She loved to cro- chet, dance, work in her gar- den and plant flowers. She en- joyed baking and cooking for her family, traveling and play- ing card games with her lady friends. She is survived by her daughters, Sonya (Barry) Parks and Joy McEwen; son, Jerry (Nan) Hargus; grand- children, Amber (Adam) Gee, Joe (Molly) Willis and their children, Anna Joy and Jack, Jamie (Adam) Seitz and their sons, Calvin and Samuel, Sam- uel R. (Savannah) Hargus II, Jonathan ( Jennifer) Hargus and son, Noah, and Nolan (Hannah) Hargus and their children, Vaughn, Adeline and Shepherd; and her broth- er, Raymond (Glynis) Ash, of Kansas. She was preceded in death by her infant sons, Ralph Eu- gene and Jimmie Ray; her par- ents; her sister, Shirley Nick- ell; and her brother, Bobby Ash. Services were at noon EST on Tuesday, January 18, 2022, at Harris Funeral Home in Petersburg, with Bro. Robert Deel officiating. Burial fol- lowed at Walnut Hills Ceme- tery in Petersburg. CAR AH LEDA SAT TLER Carah Leda Sattler, 38, of Las Vegas, Nev., passed away December 25, 2021, in Las Ve- gas. She was born on August 31, 1983, in Colville, Wash., where she enjoyed growing up. She resided in Seattle, Wash., for awhile, then moved to Las Ve- gas, Nev. She is survived by her fa- ther, David Sattler, of Peters- burg; her mother, Sandy Sat- tler, of Las Vegas, Nev.; and her sister, Sadell Sattler, of Las Vegas, Nev. Services will be at a later date. WANDA M. (BUSH) WHITAKER Wanda M. (Bush) Whitak- er, 66, of Indianapolis, passed away unexpectedly on January 11, 2022, at her home. She was born in Portland, Ore., on July 10, 1955, to Jack E. Bush and Irene Gibson. She graduated from Winslow High School with the Class of 1974. She spent most of her life working in the Health Care Profession and most recently as an In- Home Health Aid. She loved helping and taking care of peo- ple with passion. She made a friend almost every time she met someone new. She enjoyed spending time with her daughters, grandchil- dren, family and friends. She also enjoyed doing nee- dlepoint. She is survived by her two daughters, Heather ( Jordan) Wolfe and Kristin Whitaker; four grandchildren, Riley, Lo- gan, Natalie and Sterling; sev- en siblings, Craig Bush, Lar- ry Bush, Scott Bush, Deloris Lane, Diana Moeller, Wilma Wehr, Darlene Cannon and Cindy Kurpat; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Jack and Mary Bush; her biological mother, Irene Gibson; and a brother, Michael Bush. A memorial service will be at 1 p.m. EST on Saturday, March 5, 2022, at St. Mat- thews Church of Lynnville. Burial will follow at Augusta Cemetery. STACEY J. WOOD OSBORNE Stacey J. Wood Osborne, 56, of Fort Branch, passed away Tuesday, Jan. 11, 2022, at Lin- da E. White Hospice House of Evansville. She was born in Princeton Feb. 7, 1965, to Larry Paul Wood and Gloria Jean "Jean- ie" (McGillem) Wood. She is survived by her daughter, Jackie (Ayden) Os- borne, of Evansville; brother, Greg (Lorrie) Wood, of Princ- eton; aunts, Sandy ( Jim) Re- id, of Fort Branch, Vicki (Rex) Beach, of Princeton, and Car- olyn (Paul) Hendrix, of Gosh- en; and many extended fami- ly and friends. She is preceded in death by her daughter, Brittney Leigh Kempf; and uncle, Johnny Ray McGillem. Service was at 2 p.m. on Saturday, Jan. 15, 2022, at Lamb-Basham Memorial Chapel in Oakland City.
