New Community Foundation Alliance art scholarship now accepting applications The Community Founda- tion Alliance is seeking ap- plications for original art- work to display on the cover of our annual greeting card. Applicants may submit a pho- tograph, illustration, or com- puter graphic that depicts giv- ing, gratitude, thankfulness, or the impact of giving within your community. Dr. Katherine Gehlhausen Gehlhausen joins Jasper Primary Care Physicians Katherine Gehlhausen, M.D. was recently appointed to the active medical staff at Memorial Hospital and Health Care Center. She received her medical degree from Loyola University Chicago Stritch School of Medicine and com- pleted a residency in internal medicine/pediatrics with Indi- ana University in Indianapolis. Body found near Highway 64 believed to be suicide Police and emergency personnel responded Thursday morning to a report of motorists finding a body along the railroad tracks just south of Highway 64, near the Pike-Gibson county line. Pike County Deputy Sheriff Cody Jones said the body was identified as Vincent Green, 27, of Gibson County. A car was parked a few feet off the roadway, near the rail crossing. Greene's body was found about 50 feet from the car. Deputy Jones' report stat- ed Greene had a gunshot wound to the head and a gun was found about three feet from his body. Deputy Jones' reports said State Police stated their investigation "led them to believe it was a suicide."
