Sign-up dates are Saturday, Feb. 9, from 1 to 4 p.m.; Friday, Feb. 21, from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m.; Feb. 28, from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m.; and Friday, March 6, at the school car- nival. Jerry Reynolds, a two-time honor- able mention all-state player at Springs Valley, played on teams at Vincennes University that went 51-14 over two seasons. His coaching career began at Vincennes, where he was an assis- tant from 1966 -71 and recruited fu- ture NBA players like Bob McAdoo, "Foots" Walker and Ricky Green. For 10 years, he coached at Rockhurst Uni- versity and Pittsburg State, and pro- duced 192 wins. He is the longest-ten- ured employee in Sacramento Kings' history, including roles as head coach, assistant coach, scout, director of play- er personnel, general manager and television analyst. He was also the first GM of the WNBA's Sacramento Monarchs. Reynolds received his Bachelor of Science degree in Social Studies from then Oakland City College in 1966. During his senior year, he coached the freshman team. He was also a mem- ber of the 2004 U.S. Women's Olympic Team Selection Committee that won the gold medal. The late Ray Roesner graduated from then Oakland City College in 1957 with a BSE degree in Physical Education, History and Geography. He was also named Indiana Mr. Bas- ketball in 1956. The 1953 Holland graduate led the school to its first sectional title as a se- nior, averaging 23.7 points. He went on to score 858 career points in two sea- sons at Oakland City College, setting the school's season scoring record. Roesner coached 18 seasons at Chris- ney, Orleans, Princeton, Holland and Southridge, totaling 201 wins and five sectional titles. He was an assistant on Southridge's 1998 Class 2A state champion girls' team. He served as principal at Holland and Southridge. He died in 2018.
