Stephanie Shedd's class did a STEM experi- ment to see who made the longest paper chain using one sheet of construction paper. The class shows all the chains they made. Xander Kendle, Wyatt Knight, Abi Popp and Nola Thompson work on a science experiment in Mrs. Shedd's classroom. The students made foil boats and tested them to see whose held the most weight. Waylon Bigers is excited about his STEAM experiment. Xzadria Fergeson and Erik Sanchez work on their tur- key trap. The students in Amanda Gonzales' classroom made turkey traps to go along with the book they read ti- tled "How to Catch a Turkey." Kyron Piersma, Riley Knight, Hunter Hill, Aik- en Boyd and Derbi Grubb are super sad that they did not breakout in time to rescue the turkey. Ms. Richardson's Spelling Bee win- ners: Fourth place Kylee Query, third place Daxyn Yon, second place Presleigh Pierce and first place Paisley Willis. Paisley Willis won the classroom Spelling Bee in Ms. Richardson's third grade class. Cheri Willis takes aim at "water- ing" Mr. Biesterveld. Pictured Daegan Fullington and Camden Wis- caver. Mrs. Elliott's third grade classroom spelling bee winners first place Caleb McCain, second place Kasey Stevens, third place Morgan Martin and fourth place Hannah Lee. Petersburg Elementary Spell Bowl team fin- ished second place in the area competition at Ce- dar Crest Intermediate School on Nov. 18. They finished 19th in the state in their division. Team member Jacob Harker had a perfect score. Chan- ning Sorgius and Chloe Blades had a near-per- fect score. Ava Seger, in Michelle LeMond's class, works on her STEAM mystery bag challenge.
