Rubys-Floral-Designs hopping DAYS UNTIL CHRISTMAS 14 By Janice Barniak SG Star-Times Editor editor@sgstartimes.com From putting your feet up on Sundays, to reading and watch- ing TV, to rocking the grandbaby, when you buy a person furniture for Christmas, the Lamey fami- ly explains, you're giving a gift the person will see every day for years, something that will not on- ly live on past Christmas but that the family will literally live on. At Holder's Furniture in Ow- ensville, for 145 years through three generations, the family has offered furniture made in America, some even made by In- diana families, and sold by Deb- bie, Monty, Erica and Joe Lamey. They sell luxury flooring, In- diana-made bedding, curios, couches and more. For those who bought a Black Friday television, TV consoles and entertainment centers will make the gift the full package. Luxury vinyl tile is good for someone who wants to update the look of a room while adding something waterproof, pet per- fect and labor-saving, according to Debbie Lamey. "Everything in the store is go- ing to be on sale," she said. Year after year, however, they find the Christmas favorite has been the cozy home rocker-re- cliner and for those who have been waiting for a good time to buy, from now through the new year, the family is hosting a store- wide sale. From 4:30 p.m. to 6 p.m. this Friday, parents should bring their cameras for pictures with Mrs. Claus, who will be in the store welcoming children, getting pic- tures and giving goody bags. For adults, there will be cider and store-wide sales, plus the re- turn of the annual Christmas auc- tion, where customers earn tick- ets for a Chinese auction that will include gift cards for Kenny Dewig Meats, R'z Cafe and Ca- tering and a La-Z-Boy rocker re- cliner. For more information on spe- cials and to keep up with the Lamey family, connect with them on Facebook by liking their page at HoldersFurniture.net, or drop by the store at 104 N. Main St., Owensville. Above: The Holder's Furniture family, including Debbie, Monty, Erica and Joe Lamey, welcome Mrs. Claus to their decorated showroom this weekend. Parents should bring their cameras for pic- tures. Below: Rocker recliners are the most popular Christmas item, offering years of comfort.
