Then why not throw your souls a bone once a week, at least, even if it doesn't seem hungry? The poor thing may be too weak from starvation to make its wants known." Now the Bible tells us, "And let us consider one an- other to provoke unto love and to good works, not for- saking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is, but ex- horting one another, and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching" (Hebrews 10 :24-25). Dr. Robert Asa, Minister to things that marked my route, to know where I was, to judge how far I was. This became especially handy on my way home. You see, it's easy when you drive for a while to just look ahead and lose track. You start think- ing about different things, what you need to do, the peo- ple you need to see, and if you aren't paying attention, you might just miss where you are going. A couple of times, not paying attention, I missed the Petersburg exit, and I was halfway to Wash- ington. But then, I started looking for things to judge where I was. The smoke- stacks became especially helpful. When I saw the bil- lows of smoke rising into the air, day or night, I knew Pike County was close, my Pe- tersburg exit was approach- ing. The Psalmist writes this about God's word, that is scripture; "your word is a lamp for my feet, a light for my path" (119:105). We need a light for our path in this world, as the world seems darker, it's easy to lose fo- cus and miss our direction. We need to be watchful in our lives and we need to cul- tivate our relationship with the Lord through prayer and his word. Everyone welcome. Merry Christmas.
