Otwell Miller Academy fifth grade students use Chromebooks for Sumdog, Spelling City, Prodigy, Basketball Phys- ics, Virtual Labs and more. They choose from a list of educational projects they want to complete. Mrs. Hoffman's first grade class read their weekly sto- ry together with their teach- er helper leading us on the board! Adrianna Parks, Kinley Catt and Braylen Poselwait all wear their superstar leg- gings in preparation for a su- perstar day. Otwell Miller Academy was excited to have President Theodore Roosevelt visit us while he was in town! Science Newton's Laws Project Danette Weisman's sixth grade students' paper car race and egg crash projects finished out a chapter in basic physics. Students were given a challenge to use limited materials to build a car that is both fast and safe enough for a raw egg to survive a crash. Stu- dents finished the project by calculating speed and momentum and enjoyed scrambled eggs made from eggs that survived the crashes with "no injuries" (cracks). MENU Thursday, February 21: Mini corn dogs or Turkey, bacon and cheese sub with tater tots and cauliflower with cheese. Friday, February 22: Bas- co sticks, marinara sauce, spiral cut fries and seasoned peas. Monday, February 25: Stuffed crust cheese pizza or stuffed crust pepperoni pizza with crinkle cut fries and tossed salad. Tuesday, February 26: Chicken Alfredo, bread- stick, tater tots and brocco- li with cheese. Wednesday, February 27: Pork BBQ sandwich or cheeseburger with seasoned potato wedges and baked beans. Menu subject to change. Milk choices offered daily. Assorted fruits and veggies offered daily MENU Thursday, February 21: BBQ pulled pork, Au Gratin potatoes, garden salad, roll, fruit and a rice krispie treat. Friday, February 22: Chicken quesadilla, tater tots, buttered peas and fruit. Monday, February 25: Cheeseburger, lettuce, to- mato, sweet potato fries and fruit. Tuesday, February 26: Macaroni and cheese, baked beans, buttered car- rots and fruit. Wednesday, February 27: Chicken nuggets, scal- loped potatoes, buttered corn, fruit, and a mini co- coa krispie treat.
