By Andy Heuring A Spencer County teen was arrested for OV WI after she crashed her vehicle and got hung up in a ditch near Glezen, and a Montgomery man was arrested after he ran off the road, hit a tree and overturned near Otwell. Matthew L. Hall, 34, of 3951 E. 725 S., Montgomery, was arrested on charges of operating a vehicle while in- toxicated and possession of a schedule II controlled sub- stance at about 11 p.m. Sat- urday night. Pike County Deputy Sher- iff Buck Seger said he was dispatched to an overturned vehicle on Highway 257, south of Highway 56. When he arrived, he found a black Mustang overturned and off the east side of the high- way. Hall told Deputy Seger he was driving north on Highway 257, looked down to change his radio and ran off the road. He refused medical treat- ment. Deputy Seger's report said when officers told him they could smell marijuana on his breath and clothes, he told them he had smoked marijuana at about noon. Later, when confronted about the smell of marijua- na on his breath, he said he had smoked at a residence where people were smoking marijuana. Then when po- lice told him they smelled it in his vehicle, he said he smoked marijuana in the ve- hicle. He failed field sobriety tests. During a search, Dep- uty Seger said he found pills identified as Buprenorphine Hydrochloride and Nalox- one Hydrochloride. Hall eventually declined a drug screen and was taken to the Pike County Jail. Kayley R. Rudisill, 19, of 6146 W. Second St., Rich- land City, was arrested on a charge of operating a vehi- cle while intoxicated. Pike County Deputy Ja- son McKinney said he was dispatched to a report of a suspicious vehicle that kept coming into a residence's driveway. McKinney said he found a vehicle partially in a ditch and partially in the road. The driver, Rudisill, crawled out the passenger side to talk to Deputy McKinney. Accord- ing to his report, she told him she had been in Jasper and was on her way home, but got lost and while trying to turn around, got hung up in the ditch. While speaking with Rudisill, Deputy McKin- ney noticed her speech was slurred and rapid, and her balance was unstable. He said Petersburg Cpl. Jared Simmons noticed the same thing. She told Deputy McKin- ney she had no idea where she was, that she had been following her GPS and had called her parents to pull her out of the ditch. She added she had not been drinking. She failed field sobriety tests and was taken to the Daviess Community Hos- pital, where she tested posi- tive for methamphetamines and amphetamines. She was then transported to the Pike County Jail. Two arrested for OWI after accidents Truck damages utility pole A semi-tractor trailer struck a utility pole at the corner of Seventh and Branch Streets in Petersburg early Wednesday morning, leading to a power outage for several hours. A semi driver attempted to turn from Branch Street onto Seventh Street, and struck the utility pole at the intersection. The pole had to be replaced, causing a power outage from 11:50 a.m. to 3:17 p.m. according to a Duke of- ficial. The outage affected 181 Duke customers. lan and Pike County Depu- ty Buck Seger executed the search warrant on the Riv- er Road residence. They lo- cated two burnt marijuana roaches and a grinder in the residence. Cpl. Simmons, Sheriff's Sgt. Dallas Killian, Deputy Jason McKinney and State Trooper Chase Eaton con- ducted the search at the Meadowbrook residence. Simmons said they locat- ed a plastic baggie with a powder substance that field tested positive for meth and marijuana bud in a Scooby Doo lockbox inside Fiscus' bedroom. A one hitter pipe with marijuana was also lo- cated in it. They located a marijuana smoking bowl with raw mar- ijuana in it under the covers on Fiscus' bed. Under her pillow, they found a glass meth smoking pipe with burnt residue in the pipe. On the same bed, they found a trac phone and a black and pink tablet computer. On a nightstand table next to the bed, police said they found a plastic bag contain- ing 3.3 grams of marijuana and seven Alprazolam pills, which are a controlled sub- stance. In another bedroom be- longing to Fiscus' room- mate, Jesse McFarland, Cpl. Simmons said police found a glass jar containing 14.4 grams of marijuana, anoth- er glass jar with 1.5 grams of marijuana and a digital scale with a crystal-like substance and green plant material on it. In a drawer, they found a marijuana grinder with mar- ijuana in it and on the floor, they found five marijuana blunt roaches. McFarland and Fiscus were taken into custody. McFarland, 27, of 325 E.
