With This Ring... Area Reunions Attention to anyone and everyone who wants to be a part of a movement to bet- ter the lives of our students! Entrepreneurship is grow- ing across the state and na- tion. Why? The future is about innovation and Pike County has local innova- tors! The Technology Cen- ter is about nurturing our local talent and providing them resources to help them soar and stay in Pike Coun- ty. There have been several questions about the Buchta Entrepreneurship and Tech- nology Center… • What's the Tech Cen- ter for? • Why do we need it? • What have these stu- dents achieved? • Why is entrepreneur- ship good for Pike County? • Is it sustainable? It's important to have community support and I hear you loud and clear, thus I welcome and invite the public to learn and be able to answer all of these pertinent questions at 6 p.m. Thursday, November 17 at the Petersburg Pres- byterian Church, Kiefer Hall. The public forum will include information that was gathered from the feasibili- ty study, testimonies of stu- dents that plan to use the Technology Center, and al- low time for Q&A. The hope of this public meeting is to re-engage with the local re- gion and bring everyone up- to-date and to encourage ex- citement about the Technol- ogy Center becoming just a few steps away from fruition. Now is the opportunity to find out the updates of the Technology Center and learn how to be instrumen- tal in the movement to retain and better our young people. Pike County Economic Development by Ashley Willis Technology Center public meeting on Nov. 17 The mission of the Bu- chta Entre- preneurship and Technolo- gy Center is to enable region- al talent to fos- ter ideas to de- velop start-up concepts and launch new businesses, and is a uniquely, modern co-working space that offers prototype space. Stay tuned for more details to better Pike Coun- ty. For more infor- mation, follow us on Facebook at Pike County Eco- nomic Develop- ment Corporation or contact Ashley P.
