The event is designed to help farmers take full advantage of all of their available resources, including the use of manures and cover crops, to keep nutrients in play and comply with regulations. P can be a major contributor to algal blooms in fresh water systems like lakes and reser voirs. SPEAKERS Farmer Panel Local farmers David Flint, Steve Halter and Dennis Walton have a range of cover crop and conser vation expertise and experi- ences. This panel will focus on what conser- vation practices they are tr ying, expected results and "aha" moments. Ben Wicker, Indiana Pork Wicker has ser ved as Director of Pro- ducer Outreach for Indiana Pork since 2013. Before moving to Indiana Pork, Wicker was an agronomic and environmental consultant for Gordon and Associates Inc., where his work included soil fertility and manure man- agement. Wicker has been involved with the Infield Advantage manure users group and trials since its inception. Ron Chamberlain, Gypsoil Chamberlain ser ves as Chief Agronomist and Director of Re-search for the Gypsoil division of Beneficial Reuse Management. Since 2012, Gypsoil has sponsored and/ or supported a variety of research pro-jects across 16 states. Together with The Ohio State University, Nester Ag and others, Gyp- soil is providing in-kind and product support to the Ohio research project entitled "Benefi- cial Uses of FGD Gypsum in Ohio: Agri- cultural and Environmental Applications" focused on reducing ag-source phosphorus loading into the Maumee River Watershed which feeds Lake Erie.
