Who are your customers? Our customers are very diverse and include a green energy company in Nevada, a day care facility in North Carolina, a restaurant in Nebraska and some of the largest construction companies in America. What makes your business unique? Every day, we recognize the importance of our customers, and we are driven to service them at the highest level possible. At the end of the day, it is our relationship with our customers that has allowed us to continue to thrive. What is your business philosophy? We exist because our customers exist. It is our duty to provide them with a level of service they have not previously experienced. Clearly, we must buy at a level where we can compete in the open market, but after that, it is all about servicing and maintaining our business relationships. What is the most important part of your job? Leading a wonderful team of people dedicated to the same philosophy. What is the hardest part about doing business in Las Vegas? Breaking in. Once youve proven you will do as you promised, the rest takes care of itself. What is the best part about doing business in Las Vegas? Being surrounded by the employees, the vendors and the customers we serve. What obstacles has your business overcome? Slow economic times, like so many others. Staying true to our cause has allowed us to thrive in spite of the continuing gloomy forecast. How can Nevada improve its business climate? The best thing Nevada can do is continue to support small business creation and sustainability. Do not follow Californias wayward ways. Unfortunately, in many instances, Nevada has simply followed our neighbor to the west with its many cumbersome laws and regulations that impede business productivity. Be creative in attracting and keeping companies thriving here. What have you learned from the recession? That nobody is immune or above it. We have had to reinvent ourselves in areas we never imagined. Retaining our customers through meaningful and lasting relationships is the key to surviving any difficult business climate. 5 2/28/13 2:33:04 PM
