Send your information to news@vegasinc.com Patricia Iannuzzi, UNLV���s dean of libraries, was named ���Academic/Research Librarian of the Year��� by the Association of College and Research Libraries. The annual award recognizes librarians who have made significant contributions to research or academic development. Iannuzzi has advocated for information literacy and student learning throughout her Iannuzzi career. Before joining UNLV in 2005, she worked as associate librarian and director of the Doe/Moffitt Libraries at the University of California, Berkeley. She also has worked in libraries at Florida International University, the University of Miami, Yale University and Tufts University. Kenneth Post is director of admissions and Ron Herbes is campus relations manager at the International Academy of Design and Technology Las Vegas, a design and technology college. Herbes post Post specializes in increasing student enrollment through marketing and branding strategies. He previously worked at Collins College, the Education Management Corporation, the New England Institute of Art and the Art Institute of California, Orange County. Herbes joined IADT in 2009 as audio program chair. He has more than 25 years of experience in audio, video and cinema. Patrick Simon is director of culinary operations and corporate executive chef at the Culinary Academy of Las Vegas. Simon develops menus, oversees purchasing and inventory and ensures health code and OSHA compliance. He also oversees culinary operations at the Smith Center for the Performing Arts and Springs Preserve, where the academy���s Culinary Arts Catering division is the exclusive caterer. simon Natalie Sanders is a relationship manager at City National Bank���s Green Valley branch. She has 10 years of experience working in Southern Nevada���s banking industry. She previously worked for U.S. Bank as a branch sales manager. Luigi Bianchi was appointed system architect and lead developer for WinTech. He will lead software design and develop- sanders ment for the company���s flagship product, Alice Receptionist. Bianchi previously worked as a software engineer at Microsoft, Advanced Information Systems and Health Data Insights. Bianchi has a master���s degree in electronic engineering from the Universita��� Degli Studi Di Napoli Federico II in Naples, Italy. Andrew Lynam, a WIN Home Inspection franchisee, was honored with an ���Elite Club Multiple Vehicle Operator Award��� for performing a high number of inspections in 2012. Lynam operates an office in the Henderson/Green Valley area. Michele Evans was hired as director of sales and catering and Bernadette AnLynam thony was hired as group sales manager at Aliante Casino + Hotel. Evans has more than two decades of experience in the hospitality industry. She is responsible for selling hotel rooms and catering events for large groups. She will see patients at 9280 W. Sunset Road in Las Vegas. Jacks previously worked at the Nevada Cancer Institute, where she focused on breast and gynecologic oncology. She also served as medical director of oncology services at University Medical Center and jacks as the oncology rotation residency coordinator at the University of Nevada School of Medicine. She received her undergraduate degree from the University of North Carolina and her medical degree from the Brody School of Medicine at East Carolina University. Thomas Selvaggio was appointed chief operating officer of Burke Construction. He previously was the founder and president of Fairbanks General Construction in Bloomingdale, Ill. Selvaggio grew up in Kansas City and attended Bradley University. Maria Jose Norero is marketing director selvaggio at the Las Vegas Ski and Snowboard Resort. Norero will direct the resort���s sales and marketing initiatives, oversee special events and run social media and public relations campaigns. Norero previously worked in marketing for the Eaglecrest Ski Area in Juneau, Alaska. treasurer Rich Worthington, of the Molasky Group; secretary Eric Louttit, of Forest City; officer at large Lisa Robinson, of the Four Queens/Binion���s; officer at large Jonathan Jossel, of Tamares Real Estate Holdings; and officer at large Seth Schorr, of Fifth Street Gaming. Dr. Hima Illindala, an internist, has joined HealthCare Partners Medical Group. She sees patients at the company���s Summerlin facility at 2035 Village Center Circle, Suite 111, Las Vegas. Illindala previously worked at the Diagnostic Center of Medicine in Las Vegas. Five companies joined the Las Vegas illindala Hospitality Association, bringing its membership to more than 450 people. The new members are: Susan Stone, owner, Hired Hands Massage; Marisa Endy-Vanchieri, director of marketing and community relations, Lev Restaurant; Andrea Collier, CEO/managing director, Social Butterfly World; Lisa Lambert, vice president of niche media, Social Butterfly World; Brendon Schenecker, president, Travel Vegas; Manolita Moore, annual conference director, Western Veterinary Conference; David Watts, sales manager, Keep Memory Alive Event Center; and Melissa Warder, strategic market manager, Orbitz Worldwide. Scott Villamor and his agency, Shea Insurance, joined the Las Vegas benefits office of the Leavitt Group, a national insurance brokerage. Jeff Allen and Deb Egler also joined the Leavitt Group. James A. Barrett Jr. was appointed to Fort�� Specialty Contractors��� board of directors and was named chairman of the Las Vegas Metro Chamber of Commerce. Barrett has 40 years of finance experience and is the founder and president of the JABarrett Company, a financial advisory firm. Vegas PBS, through its Vegas Virtual Online Education program and ���American Graduate: Let���s Make it Happen��� initiative, launched the Nevada Mentor Training Program. Made possible by a $15,000 grant from MGM Resorts Foundation, which was matched by NV Energy, the program provides mentorship training for up to 500 people who work with the Clark County School District���s ���Reclaim Your Future��� mentoring project. The goal is to help high school students who are in danger of dropping out and keep them in school. barrett William Grounds was elected a member of MGM Resorts International���s board of directors. Grounds is a director and president of Infinity World Development Corp., an affiliate of Dubai World. He serves as a board member for CityCenter Holdings, Infinity World and Grand Avenue LA. Prior to joining Infinity World, Grounds served as CEO of property and finance for the MFS Group. Fifteen resorts operated by MGM Resorts International have earned Green Key ratings for environmental conservation. That beats the casino company���s previous record of 12 properties honored in 2010. The Green Key resorts include the Aria, Bellagio, Luxor, Excalibur, New York-New York, Mandalay Bay, Mirage, Circus Circus, MGM Grand, the Signature at MGM Grand, Vdara, MGM Grand Detroit, Beau Rivage in Biloxi, Miss., and Gold Strike in Tunica, Miss. Carroll Beeson joined Landmark Advisors Nevada as a financial advisor. Beeson has been licensed in the securities business since 1992. She has experience in investment management, consulting and estate planning and specializes in designing investment programs for high-worth clients. Beeson has a bachelor of science in business administration from UNLV and is a certified financial manager. Verizon Wireless invested more than $80 million in Nevada in 2012 to expand network coverage and capacity for customers. The company���s in-state network investment now totals more than $750 million since 2000. Old Dominion Freight Line relocated its Las Vegas service center to a larger, newly constructed facility. The 60-door terminal is located at 4550 E. Cheyenne Ave. and employs 43 people. beeson Meli Pulido was appointed executive director of Project 150, a local group that helps homeless and displaced students at 15 Southern Nevada high schools. Pulido has 25 years of human resource experience with the city of Las Vegas and has worked with numerous charities and volunteer groups. Terry Murphy, of Strategic Solutions, has pulido been selected president of the Downtown Las Vegas Alliance, a group of business owners and stakeholders who want to reclaim downtown as locals��� center of culture, commerce and community. Other officers include: vice president Sam Cherry, of Cherry Development Group; Bank of America in 2012 increased its small-business lending to $94.2 million, up 41 percent from $66.8 million in 2011. Creel Printing was featured on the cover of February���s ���Printing Impressions,��� the printing industry���s most prestigious magazine. The company was recognized for its technological, manufacturing and marketing leadership. More than 20,000 businesses vie for a story each month. Creel in 2011 acquired Digital Lizard and now stands as one of the largest providers of digital print, cross-media marketing, mobile applications, 2-D barcoding and Internet-based solutions in the region. LAKA Manicure Express, a nail bar known for 15-minute express manicures, has chosen Preferred Public Relations to handle public relations for its U.S. launch.
