A-8 Wednesday, September 21, 2022 The Press-Dispatch Patoka Valley Quilt Guild September meeting The September meeting of the Patoka Valley Quilt Guild met on Tuesday, Sep- tember 6, in the Mobel Room of the Ferdinand Community Center with President Melis- sa Ruschau presiding. The Treasurer's repor t was give, and hospitality repor ted 26 members and three guests present. For Education, Sherri Hilgeman reported the Open Sewing dates for the remain- der of 2022—September 15- 17, October 20-22, November 10-12, and December 15-17. Becky Fuller gave the finish- ing directions for the Spice Market Quilt Along. Quilts have been request- ed for the Southwest Indiana Child Advocacy Center in Jasper. Contact Jane Heichel- bech for details. Several members helped judge the Ireland picnic quilts. Any- one willing to donate bright fabric for the 30 Quilts proj- ect may bring them to Open Sewing or contact Melissa Ruschau. Members are re- minded to send in their dues if they have not done so. In New Business, the Christmas Anniversar y meal was discussed. The next meeting will be on October 4, in the Ferdi- nand Community Center at 7 p.m. New members are al- ways welcome. Petersburg garden club September meeting The Petersburg Garden Club met at the Rumbeltown Methodist Church for their September meeting. Hostesses for the meeting were Ellyn Hall and Kay Benjamin.
