Then some stood up and gave this false testimony against him: "We heard him say, 'I will destroy this temple made with human hands and in three days will build another, not made with hands.'" Yet even then their testimony did not agree. Then the high priest stood up before them and asked Jesus, "Are you not going to an- swer? What is this testimony that these men are bringing against you?" But Jesus remained si- lent and gave no answer. Again the high priest asked him, "Are you the Messiah, the Son of the Blessed One?" "I am," said Je- sus. "And you will see the Son of Man sitting at the right hand of the Mighty One and coming on the clouds of heaven." The high priest tore his clothes. "Why do we need any more witnesses?" he asked. "You have heard the blasphemy. What do you think?" They all condemned him as wor- thy of death. (Mark 14:57-64). Come and enjoy the day with us. Remember those on our prayer list, the shut-ins and our lost loved ones. In Late 700's BC, the prophet Amos was asked to warn the Isralites of coming judgment. It was a time of great prosperity, but also corruption and idolatry. God sent multiple catastrophes to en- courage people to turn back to Him. Fast forward to the 2020's many catastrophes happened worldwide during the coronavi- rus pandemic. This deadly dis- ease affected us all in some way. Perhaps the Lord is saying once again, "yet have ye not returned unto me." Amos said, "Seek the Lord, and ye shall live. Seek him that maketh the seven stars and Ori- on, and turneth the shadow of death into the morning and ma- keth the day dark with night; that calleth for waters of the sea, and pureth them out upon the face of the earth: The Lord is his name" (Amos 5:6, 8). The people in the time of Amos did not listen. Will we? (from au- thor Lucinda J. Rollings). CHURCH Sunday morning worship at 10:15 a.m.; Children's Sunday school during morning worship; Cross Fit youth on Sunday night at 6 p.m.; Wednesday night Bible study at 6:30 p.m. The God of all grace. I will proclaim the name of the LORD before thee; and will be gracious to whom I will be gra- cious.--He is gracious unto him, and saith, Deliver him from go- ing down to the pit: I have found a ransom.--Being justified freely by his grace through the redemp- tion that is in Christ Jesus: whom God hath set forth [to be] a propi- tiation through faith in his blood, to declare his righteousness for the remission of sins that are past, through the forbearance of God.--Grace and truth came by Jesus Christ. By grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: [it is] the gift of God.--Grace, mercy, [and] peace, from God our Father and Jesus Christ our Lord.--Unto every one of us is given grace according to the measure of the gift of Christ.--As every man hath received the gift, [even so] minister the same one to another, as good stewards of the manifold grace of God.--He giveth more grace. Wherefore he saith, God resisteth the proud, but giveth grace unto the hum- ble. "Grow in grace, and [in] the knowledge of our Lord and Sav- iour Jesus Christ.
