Sadler Ramblings of my mind By Lowell Thomas Sad, but true "Wherefore let him that thin- keth he standeth take heed lest he fall." — I Corinthians 10:12 Heard a story told by a Grace Believer who met another Grace Believer in the middle of the Golden Gate Bridge: "I was standing in the middle of the Golden Gate Bridge admir- ing the view when another tourist walked up alongside of me to do the same. I heard him say quiet- ly, as he took in the beauty of the view, 'What an awesome God.' "I turned to him and said, 'You a Christian?' "He said, 'Yes, I am a Chris- tian.' "I said, 'So am I,' and we shook hands. I said, 'Are you a liberal or a fundamental Christian?' "He said, 'I am a fundamental Christian.' "I said, 'So am I,' and we smiled and nodded to each other." I said, 'Are you a Covenant or dispensa- tional, fundamental Christian?' "He said, 'I am a dispensation- al, fundamental Christian.' "I said, 'So am I,' and we slapped one another on the back." I said, 'Are you an early Acts, mid- Acts or late Acts, dispensational, fundamental Christian?' "He said 'I am a mid-Acts, dis- pensational, fundamental Chris- tian.' "I said, 'So am I' and we agreed to exchange Christmas cards each year. I said, 'Are you an Acts 9 or 13, mid-Acts, dispensational, fundamental Christian?' "He said, 'I am an Acts 9, mid- Acts, dispensational, fundamen- tal Christian.' "I said, 'So am I' and we hugged one another right there on the bridge. I said, 'Are you a pre-trib, or post-trib, Acts 9, mid- America in Crisis America has experienced a straightforward, "in your face" wake-up call. The violence, bru- tality, and political upheaval we have remotely watched occur- ring in other places have come to our own soil. The social and political forces of change are sweeping across the world; and like a hurricane growing in in- tensity, we are in its crosshairs. It began on 9/11 and has continued unabated since. Most people recognize COVID has changed the world. What life was like was before COVID is now a memory. We are not going back. Joe Biden is president. If Trump is elected in 2024, we are not going back to the previ- ous Trump days. Cities that got on the bandwagon to defund the police are feeling the repercus- sions of their foolish decisions. Cities are begging the police to return. But the damage is done. Their cities are in shambles, busi- nesses and citizens are moving elsewhere. We are not going back. The news media has aban- doned any pretense of balanced reporting. It's openly progressive biased reporting has thrashed any credibility left. People know "fake news" when they see it and are looking elsewhere for infor- mation. President Biden, in recent speeches, has labeled everyone not bowing down to his definition of democracy as extremists and dangerous to democracy and America. The great uniter has become the great divider. Dis- See PONDER on page 3 See BIBLE on page 3 Hello readers. It has been en- joyable writing my Ramblings column and it is a joy hearing from all of you that my column is always the first thing you read and that you might not take the paper if it wasn't in there. First of all, knowing you like what I write or how I write makes me happy that I have pleased you or have informed you. Second though, is you shouldn't ever follow just one person because there is a whole world of people who could write and amuse peo- ple, so if my column doesn't run there will be others. I will do my best to write for you all as long as I can because I enjoy it and it seems to come naturally, so don't count the Ramblings out yet. This past week I burned on that infamous pile of limbs a cou- ple of days and, trust me, I am getting closer to being done. I estimate if I'm able to work on it a couple more days I might have it done. I thought there was a critter living in the pile of limbs but all I have seen so far has been a huge spider and he was so fast on his feet he was nothing but a blur. One trouble I have been encoun- tering is that too many of us have put limbs on it that they have en- twined themselves into an almost impossible knot which I have had to cut out in little pieces.
