On Sunday afternoon - the Monroe City Festival held their annual parade down Main Street. Members of the South Knox band participated and then put on a concert on the lawn of the Blue Jeans Community Center. On Sunday, September 18, the Monroe City Festival started with a meaningful community church ser vice. Reverend Jared Chattin (left) of the Wheatland Church and Dave Parman of the Monroe City Cumberland Church participate in the commu- nity ser vice. On Friday night in the pavilion of the Blue Jeans Community Center, the band Ricochet played until 11 pm. The open air and great music made for a perfect Friday night in Monroe City. This was the first year a garden tractor pull was held in the back portion of the Blue Jeans Community Center. Many from the community came out to take part in the tractor pull.
