Dr. Robert Asa, Minister You believe this is a season of perpetual joy and hope, it is Christmas after all, but you say it more in desperation, gritted teeth, barely holding on. You may even be saying it at this point, because you need to con- vince yourself more than any- one else. We have been talking about faith, hope, love, joy, peace, as Christians for al- most two centuries, and now, for most of us, we are being forced to answer the question, did we really believe it? This is the time where the rubber meets the road for the church, and we come to find that we really believe in the hope, the hope of salvation, and the hope of true life of - fered through us in the per- son of Jesus. I believe that if we focus our eyes in this sea- son, on the greatest joy, found in the birth of Jesus, we will learn to tether our hearts to the great hope we have in his life, death, and resurrection. Hope does not put us to shame. DJ Bryant, Pastor BRENTON CHAPEL CHURCH OF CHRIST 1194 E. CR 400 N.
