She was born June 20, 1946, to Melva and Edison "Red- buck" Willis, and stepfather Denzil Selby. She married John Lane on June 28, 1962. She is survived by her hus- band of 58 years, John; sons: John Allen (Rhonda) Lane and Jerry Dale (Suzanne) Lane; grandchildren, Steph- anie Lane (Ryan) Resen- beck, Matthew Lane and Clay (Paige) Lane; great-grandchil- dren, Briley Lane, Averie Re- senbeck and Grayson Lane; sisters, Joan Willis Floyd and Joy Willis Conn; and numer- ous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and stepfather; brother, Jerry Willis; and sis- ter, Judy Willis. FREDERICK EMIL LOUIS HANEBUT T Frederick Emil Louis Hanebutt, 88, of Huntingburg, passed away on September 28, 2020, in an AT V accident near his home. He was born September 15, 1932, in Huntingburg, to Emil Otto and Hilda (Stieneker) Hanebutt; and married Kath- leen Hazel Gray on October 16, 1964, at Iva Union Church in Pike County. He was a lifelong member of Salem United Church of Christ in Huntingburg, where he served on the church coun- cil, was a former council pres- ident, and was a dedicat- ed member of the Men's Fel- lowship and Discussion Sun- day School class. He was a distributor of Rawleigh prod- ucts, giving him the nickname "The Rawleigh Man," and was a member of Farm Bureau, both for over 60 years. He al- so worked for his son, Jeff, at Industrial Tool Sales and Ser- vice in Jasper since 2010. He is survived by his wife, Kathleen Hazel Hanebutt, of Huntingburg; two daugh- ters, Becky (Brian) Alano, of St. Augustine, Fla., and Con- nie (Kiply) Myers, of Bloom- ington; one son, Jeff (Doris) Hanebutt, of Huntingburg; two sisters, Geneva Brang, of Schnellville, and Ruth Buec- hler, of Huntingburg; by five grandchildren; and one great-grandchild. He was preceded in death by his parents; two sisters, Doro- thy Breitwieser and Margaret Hanebutt; and three brothers- in-law, Linus Breitwieser, Del- mar Brang and Harold Buec- hler. Funeral services were at 10 a.m. EDT on Tuesday, Octo- ber 6, 2020, at Salem United Church of Christ in Hunting- burg, with Pastor Mark Mc- Daniel officiating. Burial fol- lowed at Fairmount Cemetery, Huntingburg. Visitation was from 2-8 p.m. on Monday at the Nass & Son Funeral Home in Hunting- burg, and also from 9 a.m. un- til service time on Tuesday at the church. GARY ALAN YOUNG Gary "Spatzie" Alan Young, 70, of Petersburg, passed away on August 27, 2020, in Evans- ville. He was born March 30, 1950, to Prentice and Virgin- ia Young in Gibson County. Gary loved to hunt and fish. One of his greatest pas- sions was serving on the Spur- geon/Monroe Volunteer Fire Department, where he was a lifetime member. He retired from DMI (Dolly Madison, Inc.). He is survived by his daugh- ter, Mari (Charles) Schwarz, of Petersburg; and his grand- son, Demetre Young. He is preceded in death by his wife, Erma Young; son, Kary Young; his parents; and his sister, Judy Foust. A graveside service will be at 9 a.m. on Saturday, October 10, 2020, at Williams Ceme- tery in Winslow, with Pastor Alec Hensley officiating. A celebration of life service will be at 3:30 p.m. on August 28, 2021, at the Spurgeon/ Monroe Fire Dept. and will be hosted by the Indiana Vol- unteer Fire Department. Beyke, 65, of Winslow, lost his fight with cancer at home on Sep- tember 30, 2020. He was born on October 21, 1954, in Jasper, to the late Wilfred and Marcella ( Wer- ner) Beyke. He was a 1972 graduate of Jasper High School, played a year of college football at Col- orado State until injured and earned his business degree at Indiana University. He was re- tired. He enjoyed fishing, bird hunting and golfing, but what he enjoyed most in life were his three granddaughters. He is survived by his wife of 24 years, Rose; his daugh- ter, Kristen (Kevin) Fogt, of Sarasota, Fla.; stepdaugh- ter, April (Tommy) Forker, of Newburgh; stepson, Luke (Tiffany) Beasley, of Oakland City; granddaughters, Ca- dence, Tatum and Regan Fogt; step-grandchildren, Sheridan and Will Forker; his brothers, Ken (Nancy) Beyke, of Jas- per, and Glenn (Beth) Beyke, of Kennesaw, Ga.; a sister, La- verne (Charles) Weisman, of Ireland; and a brother-in-law, Greg (Barb) Kendall, of Jas- per. He was a loving uncle to his many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; and two sis- ters, Marilyn Kendall and Su- san Mendel, both of Jasper. With no family of his own, he had spent the last 60 years as part of the Cockerham and Lee families. He lived with Louie and Ella Mae Cocker- ham in Petersburg for sever- al years, working at their an- tique store. A fter their pass- ing, he went to live with Har- ry and Deanie Lee in Elnora, where he drove a semi for Har- ry Lee Farms and helped them show their extensive antique International Harvester trac- tor collection all over the Unit- ed States. A fter their passing, he was cared for by his friends and remaining "family," Guy and Bonnie Cockerham, both of whom survive him. Graveside services were at 1 p.m. EDT on Sunday, October 4, 2020, at Walnut Hills Cem- etery in Petersburg, with Pas- tor Lowell Thomas officiating. She had been employed as a waitress at the Shamrock Café in Petersburg and Uniroyal factory in Washington. She was a member of the Peters- burg General Baptist Church in Petersburg. She is survived by her daughter, Katrina (Steve) Meadors; grandchildren, Kev- in, Todd and Kaci Meadors; great-grandchildren, Me- gan Meadors Bates, Tyler Meadors and Briar Meadors; sister, Monzella Stout; uncle, Paul Dilley; nieces and neph- ews, June Cochran, Angie Ab- bott, Denesa Cook, Pat and Jeff Bouchie, Doug Phillips, and Jarod Bradfield; and life- long friend, June Brooks. MARK EDWARD DOERNER Mark Edward Doerner, 53, of Oakland City, passed away on Tuesday, September 29, 2020, in Oakland City. He was born on October 25, 1966, in Princeton, to Ronald and Darlene (Holder) Doern- er. He had lived in Oakland City for two years, moving from Boonville. He was a graduate of Wood Memorial High School, Class of 1984. He worked in maintenance at Lincoln Industrial in Boon- ville. He enjoyed music, played the piano and guitar, and was a member of a band with his brothers and friends. He is survived by his moth- er, Darlene, of Oakland City; stepson, Heath (Nikki) Hem- mings, of Boonville; broth- ers, Brett (Debbie) Doerner, of Spurgeon, and Mike Do- erner, of Coe; brother-in-law, Ron Green, of Petersburg; two step-grandchildren; three step-great-grandchildren; several nieces, nephews and great-nieces and nephews. MARK ALLEN FREDERICK Mark Allen Frederick, 71, of Tempe, Ariz., formerly of Oakland City, entered rest on Monday, Sept. 26, 2020, at his home. He was born on October 6, 1948, in Princeton. He was a musician during his lifetime, playing the steel guitar and was a member of Steel Guitar Forum. While he was living in the Oakland City area, he played with Gary Dawson and the Wranglers. Also, he was business partner in J.C.H. Guitar in Henderson- ville, Tenn., and in Char-Mar Desert Production, along with his wife, in Tempe, Ariz. He had a great love for his Rott- weiler babies. He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Charlotte I. "Bot- tom" Frederick; his moth- er, Wilma Jean Frederick, of Oakland City; brothers, Mike (Leslie) Frederick, of Foun- tain Hill, Ariz., Brad Freder- ick, of Patoka; his sisters, Mar- ilyn Mason, of Oakland City, and Carol ( John) Colbert, of Kokomo; and several nieces and nephews. Pickerel, 90, of Oakland City, passed away Wednesday, September 30, 2020, at Linda E. White Hos- pice House in Evansville. She was born December 17, 1929, in Stendal, to the late Jo- seph and Detsyle Randolph. She worked in assembly for 22 years at Whirlpool and was of the Baptist faith. She liked being outdoors and going boat- ing with her daughter and son- in-law. She enjoyed traveling and reading in her spare time. She was an animal lover, espe- cially her pet cats and dogs. She was loved dearly and will be missed. She is survived by her daughters, Brenda Pickerel and Debbie Lee (Tony); two step-grandchildren; a step- great-grandson; and a cousin. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Charles Pickerel; and siblings, Beatrice Randolph, Ray Ran- dolph and Robert Randolph.
