Good Luck at Sectional Pike Central Girls' Soccer Chargers football hosts Forest Park Friday night Pike Central football had to cancel the Friday, October 2 contest with the Tell City Marksmen, but expect to con- tinue the schedule this Fri- day hosting the Forest Park Rangers at Weathers Field at 7 p.m. Tell City played Princ- eton for their Friday contest and notched a 45 -0 win. The last regular season con- test for Pike Central will be at North Posey on Friday, Octo- ber 16 beginning at 7:30 p.m. Vincennes gets bye in Sullivan volleyball sectional Pike Central volleyball will play match two at Sullivan against the hosts, while Wash- ington faces Princeton in the first match on Tuesday in the sectional. Vincennes gets the bye and plays the winner of the Washington verses Princ- eton match. If Pike Central beats Sullivan, the girls will be in the championship with either Vincennes, Washing- ton or Princeton. The girls lost to Vincennes Lincoln in the first match of the season and had it rough for 11 matches before a win over Evansville Bosse and then a loss to Washington. In the last 12 contests, the girls have had seven wins and five losses. Their last contest was with Northeast Dubois where they won 3-2 on Monday and went to 8 -17 Senior Maddie Williams leads in attacking with 74 kills, followed by freshman Haylie Fulcher with 54. Senior Kenzie Powell has 29 aces, and freshman Lexie Onyett and junior Erika Vinnedge each have 27. Onyett made 264 digs and Powell has 182. Onyett also leads in receiv- ing with 264 and senior Nee- ley Correll recorded 196. Charger boys run at PAC Charger boys prepared for the Prides Creek course on Saturday despite not having enough runners for a team score. Jeremy Delobel ran first for the Charger boys in 18:15.37 and Ijaa Chambers was second, clock- ing 18:37.33. Dallas Reutepohler was the third (19:47.21) and Shane Woodhull placed fourth in 20:52.69.
