A private family service was held September 14, 2020 at Cleveland Funeral Services in Shelby conduct- ed by Rev. Robert Reeise. Burial followed at Cleveland Memorial Park. Surviving are her four daughters, Judy Melton and husband Victor of Lincolnton, NC, Wanda Bell and husband Craig of Kings Mountain, NC, Susan Perrell and husband Cliff of Grover, NC, and Dee Dee Stephens and husband Alan of Greensboro, NC, a brother, Bill Brigman of Laurinburg, NC, three sisters, Lena Williams and Rena Hatcher of Rockingham, NC, and Jeanette Brown of Shelby, NC. She had eight grand- sons, Michael Lee Cribbs of Kings Mountain, NC, Patrick Kinmon and wife Bree of Shelby, NC, Matthew Fitch and Jason Fitch of Lincolnton, NC, Chad Perrell and wife Erica of Boiling Springs, NC, Michael Gene Kinmon and wife Danielle of Shelby, NC, Nathan Stephens and Tim Stephens of Greensboro, NC, a grand- daughter, Danielle Melton of Lincolnton, NC, and ten great grandchildren, Madison, Carson, Olivia, Eleanor, Clint, Jordan, Wesley, Madison, Raymond, and Julie, a step-grandson, Kyle Bell and wife Kathryn of Shelby, NC, and a step great granddaughter, Madelyn. Born May 23, 1939 in Rockingham, NC, Mrs. Cribbs was the daughter of the late Everett and Jessie Brigman and was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Cribbs, two broth- ers, Hoyt Brigman and Carl Ingram and one sis- ter, Trudy Brigman, and one great granddaughter, Vivian Kinmon. He was born on March 24, 1982 in Cleveland County, NC to Vigor Bernard Beam and the late Marlo Hopper Allen. In addition to his mother, he was preceded in death by his grandparents, Mary Martha Hopper and Louis and Dorothy Beam. BILLY RAY ARROWOOD Billy Ray Arrowood, 79, of Kings Mountain, NC, passed away on September 10, 2020 at Caromont Regional Medical Center in Gastonia, NC. He was born in Rutherford County, NC, son of the late Fred Arrowood and Edna Harris and was preceded in death by his stepfather, Carl Paysour. Billy was also preceded in death by his wife of many years, Mary Elizabeth Arrowood, his brothers, Junior and David Arrowood and his sisters, Judy Vanadore and Frances Banner. Jerry Van Bell, Sr. was born in Kosciusko, MS on June 6, 1941 to Edith Boyette Bell Harpole and James Van Bell. Mr. Bell was preceded in death by his parents, James Van and Edith Boyette Bell Harpole; his twin brother, James Terry Bell Sr.; broth- er, Charles Boyd Bell; and sister Eddye Dolores Bell Burns. Born in Jackson County on August 17, 1931, he was the son of the late Rev, James Edgar Bishop and Gracie Dills Bishop. In addition to his parents, Harold is preceded in death by a brother, Hayes Bishop. Harold is survived by his wife of 67 years, Barbara Gillespie Bishop; a son, Mike Bishop and wife Natalie of Shelby; three grandchildren, Lauren McKay and husband Kyle, Brent Bishop, and Daniel Bishop; three great grandchildren, Caroline McKay, M. EDWIN RANDOLPH KENDRICK Edwin Randolph Kendrick passed away on September 12, 2020. He was the first-born of Hugh Quinn and Louvice Lowery Kendrick of Shelby, NC on November 8, 1920. Mr. Kendrick served our country in the U.S. Army during World War II. Edwin is survived by a son, Ronald Edwin Kendrick (Vicki) of Lillington, NC; Daughter-in-Law, Betty Kendrick of Brevard, NC; Granddaughters Kristin K. Wolfe (Chris) of Oakland, CA and Erin K.
