Mrs. Hicks has been a long-time Sunday school teacher at the church, and is much-loved for all she has done and for what she has meant to others there and in her hometown of Shelby. Everyone met that day and proceeded to her house, where she sat out front to watch the parade of cars carrying the well-wishers.
