Michael Wirthwein was riding his motorcycle east on Highway 64, just west of Highway 61. Indiana Conservation Officer Ken Tincher said Kendall E. Schue, 21, was also driving east on Highway 64. Tincher said when Wirthwein slowed to turn into his driveway, Schue didn't see him. When she did see him, she swerved to the right, but it was too late and she hit Wirthwein's motorcycle, ejecting him from the bike. Schue's 2017 F250 Ford truck ran off the right side of the road into the ditch. Wirthwein was taken by Pike County EMS to the hospital. Officer Tincher said Wirthwein's injuries didn't appear to be serious. "He was wearing a helmet and that probably helped a lot." Schue was uninjured. Both vehicles had significant damage.
