C-6 Wednesday, December 12, 2012 The Press-Dispatch Personals By Judy True Birthdays are: Kelley Christian Kaiser on Dec. 8; Becky Beadles on Dec. 14; Greg Longabaugh, Jane Harvey, Troy Blaize, Derek Barton and Jason Armstrong on Dec. 15; Judy Cox will be 43 and Peyton Robinson will be 12 on Dec. 17; and Terry Ice on Dec. 21. Jr. and Shirley Jones will celebrate their 41st wedding anniversary on Dec. 14. Charles and Shelba Shoultz attended the First Baptist Church's wonderful Christmas program last Saturday night. They also, along with other family members, recently attended 'Dishes for Wishes' at the University of Evansville. It is sponsored by the Chi Omega's, of which their granddaughter, Ashley, is a member. All proceeds went to 'Wish Upon a Star'. Charles and Shelba ate breakfast in Evansville last week with several seniors from First Baptist, then drove on the new Interstate to Crane, shopping in Washington on the way back. A birthday party for Janie Davidson was on Sunday afternoon at the home of her son and daughter-in-law, Barry and Cindy Davidson. Attending beside the host and hostess was Joe and Brittany Davidson; John and Bri Davidson and children Abigail, Jordan and Isabella; Julie and Bob Bugher; and Michael, Jaleigh, Hannah and Adam Peil and children Chase, Cole, Brooklyn and Olivia; Bill and Mary Trailer and family; Annette and Denny Eversol; and Jeff Trailer. Everyone ate a delicious dinner followed by cake and ice cream. Diann Tracy, of Winchester, IN, was Sunday guest of Carol Cummings in Carlisle. They are longtime friends and had not seen each other for quite sometime. Chalmer and Loveda Burden went to their son's, Tim Burden and family in Iowa City, IA, for Thanksgiving. They were especially thankful their grandson, Morgan, a college student, who was able to come home for Thanksgiving. They all had a great trip and did a lot of visiting for a week. They also went to Montgomery, along with other church members of the Petersburg General Church, for a Thanksgiving and Christmas dinner last week. Jim Beery of Oaktown visited with Peg Hyneman of Hazleton last week. Charlotte Miles along with son, Ed Miles, were in Jasper on Monday and while there they ate lunch at a local restaurant. Rick and Nancy Wheatley were in Princeton three days last week to pick up their grandson, Malcolm, after school and take him home. They also did some shopping there on Friday. On Sunday morning, they went to Vincennes for breakfast and more shopping. Barry and Sandy Bane; Allen and Kathy Wolsing; Greg, Stacey, Devin and Tate Bane and Matt Easterling were in French Lick, IN on Sunday. Everyone had a fun time riding the Polar Express Train after touring the hotels. Clara Bishop spent Thanksgiving Day eating dinner on the White River with friends. Denver and Marylee Sullivan went to the birthday party for two of their greatgrandchildren, Andrew and Autumn Barrett, last Saturday at the boys' parents' home in Campbelltown. And then this past Saturday they attended another birthday party for another greatgranddaughter, Emily Howard, at the Immanuel Baptist Church. They also attended the Christmas dinner and program on Sunday afternoon at the Immanuel Baptist Church. After church last Sunday, Hazel Pauley and Tex Simmons visited with their friends at RiverOaks Health campus. Afterwards, they went to Gibson General Hospital to visit with Valetta DeBoard and Juniata Dyer. Later in the afternoon, Juanita was taken to a hospital in Evansville. Becky Beadles, a dispatcher, at the Gibson County Sheriff's Office was awarded 'Dispatcher of the Year' for 2012 last week at the annual Christmas party. She was in Evansville on Friday shopping and on Saturday her and her mom, Janet Beadles, did some Christmas shopping in Vincennes. On Sunday, Becky and her friend, Glenda Jolly, went to Nashville and to Clarksville to shop. Sharon Rumble of Union had a visit from Patty Sherman and Jacob Hopf and they helped her decorate for Christmas. Katie Jo Rumble and Charlie Maxwell, both from Washington, visited with Sharon on Thursday afternoon. She then had a visit from Stacy and Maddi Ivers, from Bicknell, on Saturday afternoon. The "Bunch for Lunch" crew met at a restaurant in Princeton for dinner on Monday afternoon. Attending were Evelyne McClure, Maurice Hurt and Rose Mary Krieg, all from Princeton; and Pat and Jerry Ott and Dona Jenkins, from Francisco. Ruth Morrison enjoyed visitors last week: Tonya, J. T. and Kaden Kreig, Todd Morrison and Debbie Alexander. On Tuesday evening, Jane Vickers and Sandy Bane met Henrietta Stone in Evansville for dinner and to exchange Christmas gifts. Mary Everett of Duggar had a busy week. Monday she went to regular Bunco at a friend's home. Tuesday, she attended Mystery Bunco in Hymera; on Wednesday, they had their Home Extension Christmas Party at a restaurant in Vincennes; Thursday, they had a very successful Christmas Bazaar at the Sullivan Fair Grounds. Friday, she had surgery on her ear, so far, all is great. Phyllis Rainey visited with Charlotte Miles on Tuesday and then on Thursday, Neena Stevens and Betty Hoosier visited and stayed for dinner. PES spelling bee winners Petersburg Elementary School held its annual Spelling Bee recently and the winners were determined in the spell off. Simon McCrary won first place, Lauren Young was second, Haven Longest was third and Chelsie Lester placed fourth. Sherry Kinney had a visit from her daughter and grandson, Dessi and Tylan Waple, last week. Marvin and Sue Ellen Barton, Gloria Reinhardt and Derek Barton all went to Evansville to the Victory Theatre to the "Peppermint Christmas Pops" last Sunday. Walt and Marcella Robb went to a local restaurant for breakfast on Tuesday and then went to Princeton to The Waters to visit with friends, Vep Degenhart and Georgie Blanton. On Saturday morning, Sandy Bane had donuts with some teacher friends that she had worked with at Brumfield School. Ruth Morrison had her grandson, Tyler Morrison, come and help his granny decorate for Christmas last week. Sue Leffler and her parents, Jim and Dessie Sherman, were Christmas shopping in Jasper on Thursday. They had lunch while there. It was a very nice day for a drive. Tisha Jewel and her mother, Rita McGuyer, had lunch in Vincennes on Thursday afternoon and then did some shopping. Charlie and Betty Jo Wright of Monroe City had dinner in Vincennes before church on Thursday evening. Joe and Bette Coom- er went to Mt. Carmel and while there ate out at a local restaurant. Ruth Morrison talked to Dixie Gourley, of Mt. Carmel, who has a broken leg and is in rehab at Good Samaritan Hospital's ReHab. Jamie and Karen McClure attended the Knights of Columbus Christmas dinner on Thursday evening in Princeton. Lucy McKannon went to Vincennes on Friday to see her grandson, Thomas Schatz, in a Christmas play at his daycare. Jim and Inez King, of near Union, had a visit from their son-in-law, Don Merle from Evansville, last week. Lorrayne Perry and her daughter, Marsha Giedon, went to Washington last week to do some shopping, eat out and just spend time together. Bill and Marada Willis went to Vincennes last week and while there ate dinner at a local restaurant. Alice Whittington went to her church, the First Baptist Church in Princeton, recently to help with their 'Angel Tree'. This is for helpers and caregivers and children to enjoy a meal and receive gifts. Charles and Anita Fugate and Tex Simmons visited with Hazel Pauley on Thursday evening. Audrene Cook of Hazleton and Don McKibben from Vincennes attended two Christmas dinners, one on Saturday afternoon and then one on Sunday evening. Betty Cain visited with her sister, Janie Arnold, at Golden Living on Sunday afternoon. Theresa Loveless visited with her neighbors, Jane Rodgers and Marvin Charles, on Saturday evening. Dessi and Tylan Waple and friend, Jessica Frederick, went out to eat on Saturday evening in Evansville. A Family Holiday dinner Tim and Sabrina Frederick hosted their family for dinner, gift exchanges and playing games on Saturday afternoon and evening at their home in Princeton. This was for Thanksgiving and for Christmas when everyone could be there. Beside the hosts, there was Chris and Chantel Horton and children; McKenzie and Zachery from the Mt. Carmel, IL area; John and Toni McDowell and children Ayden and Gavin from Grayville, IL; Mark and Keava Workman from Princeton; Rick and Nancy Wheatley from Hazleton; Marcus Culp and children Lily and Lucas from Decker; Luke and friend Bailey; Fauna Comer and children Malcolm, Liam and Daisy from Oakland City; Nathan Kell, Cyi Schmidt and Nikoli from Princeton; and Kae- la Kell from Hazleton. Everyone ate a delicious meal and had a great time playing games and winning prizes. A highlight of the day was Rick Wheatley celebrated his birthday and Cyi Schmidt made him a cake. Everyone sang Happy Birthday to him which made his day. Beta Sigma Phi meeting Hazel Pauley, Tex Simmons, Kenneth and Marilyn Yeager, Norma Engler and Betty McDermott all attending a Monday meeting and luncheon of their Beta Sigma Phi. They all met at a restaurant in Princeton for their Christmas party and then it was followed by playing bingo where everyone was a winner. Aaron turns 10 Last Saturday, Charles and Anita Fugate and Carol Wilson attended the 10th birthday party for their grandson, Aaron, at the Hamilton Inn with a swim party and dinner for all the kids. The theme of the party was 'Spiderman', carried out in the decorations and the cake. Aaron is the son of Sam and Melody Fugate. After the party they took supper to Hazel Pauley and Tex Simmons.
