Best Memories Sometimes the very best memories are made at Christmas. Children climb up on a stool alongside mother or grandma to help make cookies in the kitchen. Aprons hanging to their ankles, flour smudged on flushed cheeks, fingers in the frosting bowl, and smiles that go on forever. It is good to be children sometimes, and never better than at Christmas, when its mighty founder was a child Himself. Those wanting to participate are asked to bring a $10 gift, men for a man and the women for a woman. Sunday evening before Christmas, Pastor Nelson will hold a candlelight communion service. We appreciated Rev. Pancake for his inspiring message. We still have many out due to sickness and look forward to seeing them soon. Gary and Ruby are having a "Christmas at the Pastor and his Wife's House" on Saturday, Dec. 15 from 3-6 p.m. Light refreshments will be served. There will be program practice next Sunday evening, December 16 at 6. Try to attend to prepare for our upcoming Christmas program. Our Christmas program will be Sunday morning, December 23, during our morning worship at 10:30 a.m. Everyone is welcome to join us. Christmas Eve and Christmas are coming soon. Remember the reason we celebrate was the perfect gift. Our fifth Sunday fellowship will be on Sunday, Dec. 30th. We'll have a day of fellowship at the church. If you don't have a church to call your own you are always welcome to join our family every Sunday. God Bless each and every one during this Christmas season. Christmas Eve, Pastor Paul will be serving communion between the hours of 4:306 p.m. On December 31, we will meet at the church at 7 p.m. to take down the Christmas Decorations. If you are able, we will stay until after midnight to snack, play games, and pray in the new year. Bring a snack to share, something to drink and your favorite game. This is a great time to have fun and focus on prayer. Next men's breakfast will be January 5 at 8 a.m. Our normal weekly schedule is as follows: Sunday school starts at 9:30 a.m. with morning worship following at 10:15; Sunday night at 6, we have a casual evening service. Monday at 6:30 p.m. the study buddies meet in the new fellowship hall. The Knitwits get together Tuesday at 3:30 p.m.; Wednesday evening our kids and youth ministry starts at 6:30 p.m. and our adult Bible study is at 7 p.m. Peace and joy in the Lord, Mark Schlechty, Pastor Bethel G.B. Church Sunday school 9:30; morning worship 10:30; all Wednesday evening activities 6:30 except our Amber Manor service begins at 6:15. He grew to manhood, preached and ministered until crucifixion when He hung on the cross and sacrificed His life. By doing so He purchased with His blood the gift of forgiveness for all our sins. That gift guarantees us the gift of eternal life in heaven with the risen Savior for all eternity. "The gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord" (Romans 6:23).
