C-2 Church Wednesday, Februar y 21, 2018 The Press-Dispatch Continued in next column Continued in next column "When you feel lousy, puppy therapy is indicat- ed"—Sara Paretsky. This week PAWS is fea- turing an adorable young fellow named Hoover. This big pup comes by his name honestly, as he sucks up his puppy chow like a Hoover vac - uum. Hoover is a fun-lov- ing little fellow and loves to play almost as well as he loves to eat. He is very vocal and loves be- ing held and cuddled. He was born at PAWS on January 1. His mama is a small black lab who has a very loving personality. Hoover will be good- natured like his mama. He has medium-length black, fuzzy fur with tan accents on his face, chest and paws. To adopt this personality-packed pup, call 812-354-9894. PAWS WEEK PAWS WEEK Pet of the HOOVER Continued from page 1 Continued on page 3 Baptist Church of God Church of God Independent Independent Catholic Sunday morning worship at 10 :15 a.m., children's Sun- day school during morning service; Wednesday night prayer meeting and Bible study at 6:30 p.m.; Business meeting, second Wednesday of the month at 6:30 p.m. "Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and lean not on your understanding" (Prov- erbs 3:5). There will always be se- crets and motives of God that lie beyond our grasp. God knows everything we do not. Only in Heaven will we under- stand God's ways more fully. As Paul said, "Now I know in part, but then I shall know just as I also am known" (I Corin- thians 13:12). But based upon what we do know about God's charac- ter, demonstrated supreme- ly in the Cross, we can trust that God is doing what is best for us. God says in His Word, "I know the plans I have for you..plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future" ( Jere- miah 29:11). If at any time you have no church to attend, feel free to join us for services. I'm sure you will leave feeling blessed. Jerry "Tuffy" Blackwell, Pastor Sharon Kendall, Reporter ARTHUR G.B. When we begin to be- come down cast and disqui- eted within, we need to hope in God and wait expectantly for him, who is our help and our God. Be the Example "Don't let anyone look down on you because you are young, but set an ex- ample for the believers in speech, in conduct, in love, in faith and in purity." (1 Timothy 4:12, K JV ). Sometimes as Christians you can feel as though you are out of place or even looked down on by those who live by the worldly stan- dard. This verse reminds us to keep faith and stay on the straight and narrow. By do- ing so, we may lead others to God by setting a good ex- ample or even help others on their path with God without even knowing. Leading by example is one of the many ways to guide others to the Father. So keep your feet firm and don't lose faith in God's pow- er to shine through you. God bless you and keep you. We welcome you to all ser- vices. Come and worship Je- sus with us. See our Facebook page Glezen Revival Center. Web- site: grcenter.net – E-mail address: glezenrevivalcen- ter@yahoo.com.
