C-2 Church Wednesday, April 20, 2016 The Press-Dispatch Wag and the world wags with you. Howl, and they put you outside, (La- dy and the Tramp). Last week, PAWS fea- tured a sweet young fel- low named Tramp, but this week PAWS is fea- turing his companion, Lady. As mentioned last week, Lady and Tramp were found together off the beaten path. They are both very young, gregari- ous canines. Lady appears to be a Chow Chow mix, a sturdy, medium sized dog, with a thick outer coat of black fur that is lighter in some areas, especial- ly around her haunches. Her tail is set high and curls over her back. She walks well on a leash and gets along well with other dogs. Lady is spayed, has all her shots and is heart - worm negative. To adopt Lady, call 812-354-9894. PAWS WEEK PAWS WEEK Pet of the LADY Baptist Continued on page 3 Church of Christ Church of God Independent Catholic Christian NEW LIBERTY G.B. This Saturday starting at 8 a.m., there will be a clean up day at the church. Sunday morning, Misty Coleman will be giving a talk on "Passion." I will raise them up a Prophet from among their brethren, like unto thee. Moses stood between the LORD and you at that time, to shew you the word of the LORD: for ye were afraid. There is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus. Now the man Moses was very meek, above all the men which were upon the face of the earth. Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls. Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Je- sus: who, being in the form of God, thought it not rob- bery to be equal with God: but made himself of no rep- utation, and took upon him the form of a servant, and was made in the likeness of men. Moses verily was faith- ful in all his house, as a servant, for a testimo- ny of those things which were to be spoken after; but Christ as a son over his own house; whose house are we, if we hold fast the confidence and the rejoic- ing of the hope firm unto the end. If at any time you have no church to attend, feel free to join us for your servic- es. Your presence will be greatly appreciated and I am sure you will receive the blessings of God. The Touchstone A painter of landscape scenes always kept in front of him on his easel a number of precious stones-emerald, sapphire, ruby. Asked why, he replied, "To help me keep my colors true. In course of time, without some constant reference, my eye might lose its perception of color tones, and the colors I choose may not be right, may not be what they once were." So it is with us, in the re- quirements of our ongoing life. Lest we wander astray, we need occasional exposure to some unchanging and un- fading standard. Unless we are in touch with some con- stant reference, we can de- viate and scarcely know it. We need some touchstone to test ourselves by, one that is worthy of what life is, one by which our life tones can be safely set-the only perfect unchanging Lord.
