Invited guests were driven from the Back Bay hotel to the tent, where they enjoyed stunning views of the race and finish line, while enjoying breakfast, lunch, and brunch throughout the weekend, courtesy of the hotel's catering partner, The Catered Affair. Cold Stella Artois was flowing throughout the weekend, and Sunday's Bloody Mary Bar was a huge fan favorite, with The Lenox Hotel's vice president and managing director, Dan Donahue, serving as guest bartender throughout the weekend. Nearly 350 guests wearing "creative black tie" attended the sold-out event, whose theme, "Fashion Forward," was inspired by honorary gala chair and legendary fashion icon Iris Apfel. A group of fashion students from Massachusetts College of Art and Design added flair to the evening by modeling works from their boundary-pushing Wearable Art 2012 installation. Proceeds from the live auction, which included a vintage fur coat from Apfel's personal collection and a curator-led trip to Frieze Art Fair, support the museum's educational programs and special exhibitions.
