INVITED Gergana Shipley and Andrea Alexander Krista Ference and Christian Louboutin pumped up Sinesia Karol and Maristela Rapo Christian Louboutin, the French designer who has made the color red synonymous with his shoes, was greeted by an eager crowd at Saks Fifth Avenue at the Prudential Center on October 16. After signing shoes from his Fall 2012 collection, Louboutin retreated to an intimate VIP cocktail party at the Institute for Contemporary Art. He was joined by Courtney Forrester, Simone Winston, Tonya Mezrich, and more of Boston's most fashionable women. Saks donated 10 percent of its sales of full-priced Louboutins that day to the ICA. More than 200 of the city's hippest young professionals flocked to the downtown hot spot Gem Restaurant and Lounge. Guests mingled with the men of the "New Guard" as they sipped signature cocktails by Russian Standard Vodka and indulged in passed hors d'oeuvres by Chef Kevin Long.
