...WITHOUT WHOM THIS ISSUE WOULD NOT HAVE BEEN POSSIBLE SPRING 2013 sue brady Sue Brady was hired at age 15 by Boston radio legend Sunny Joe White and has never looked back. Today she's the "mom-wife" on Mix 104.1 FM (CBS Radio) with Gregg Daniels and Fast Freddy, weekdays from 2 PM to 7 PM. She resides in Wellesley with her family. In this issue: Brady writes about the follies and foibles of running the Boston Marathon in "Parting Shot." What is your training motivation? The serotonin. My body craves it. I can handle anything if I get my run in. How do you unwind after the marathon? Massage, Chardonnay, eggplant Parmesan, and ricotta pie. What do you focus on while running? That I'm healthy, I have a beautiful family, I'm strong and capable, and I'm blessed with Russian speed-skater thighs that can carry me for hundreds of miles if need be. ken richardson Boston-based photographer Ken Richardson knew in junior high school that he wanted to capture the world with his camera. When not shooting for clients such as Country Living, the Harvard Business School, and The Huffington Post, he's working on leaky old motorcycles or pointing his camera at anything with wheels. In this issue: Richardson photographs skincare maven Miri Torres for Talent Patrol. What is the easiest way to relate to a subject you are photographing? People get excited when they talk about places they like to eat. I tend to get good advice about kids too, which is helpful since I have a 6-year-old at home. What will you be turning your camera on this spring? Drag races and motorcycle races in New Hampshire. What's been your favorite shoot for Boston Common? Shooting Rebecca Eaton of PBS at The Crane Estate in Ipswich. I'm a big fan of Downton Abbey, and we had a perfect English gray day to shoot. 30 Donna Garlough is the managing editor of Plume, the online magazine of the private-sale site Joss & Main, and was previously executive editor of Boston Magazine. A serial home renovator, she's working on a circa-1860 brick townhouse in Bunker Hill. In this issue: Garlough writes about the Back Bay's residential renaissance with The Bradley Mansion in Haute Property. What's Boston's next hot neighborhood? There is a ton of potential in the West End. Though it's dominated by the TD Garden, new midrise developments are going up by North Station, and the planned Boston Public Market will be within striking distance. bill littlefield Bill Littlefield is the host of Boston NPR member station 90.9 WBUR's sports talk show "Only A Game." He has written several sports commentary books and served as the guest editor for Houghton Mifflin Harcourt's The Best American Sports Writing 1998. In this issue: Littlefield goes behind the scenes with Red Sox General Manager Ben Cherington. How will the changes to the coaching staff drive the Red Sox this year? The good thing about coming in to manage a team that has just finished last is that you can't fall any further. What is unique about the Red Sox? Before they finally won the World Series in 2004, they had displayed a consistent ability to almost win without actually winning.
