We collaborated with the Young Partners of Boston Ballet to kick off an incredible season with a preview performance and afterparty at Sip Wine Bar and Kitchen. We look forward to partnering with the Ballet again on two Offstage performances this spring, one on March 14 and the other on May 9. I was lucky enough to be at another one of Boston's beautiful venues, the Wang Theatre, a few weeks later when the Citi Performing Arts Center honored Joe Spaulding's 25 years of service as the organization's president and CEO. Guests offered a toast to Spaulding's hard work over the years, and the event raised $500,000 to benefit Citi Center's City Spotlights Summer Leadership Program and to help preserve the Center's theaters. We also partnered with the Back Bay Association for its annual Best of Back Bay at the Taj hotel. The signature event drew an illustrious crowd in support of Back Bay businesses, and Boston Common is proud to be one of them. This year we were excited to introduce our first gift guide gala at the Mandarin Oriental as a kickoff to the holiday season. Guests got a jump start on making their holiday wish lists as they browsed gifts from Saks Fifth Avenue, Neiman Marcus, Follow me on Facebook at Tempur-Pedic, The Tannery, Facebook.com/boston-common and on Dorfman, Daniela Corte, bostoncommon-magazine.com. Ross-Simons, Alton Lane, Audio Video Intelligence, Winston Flowers, Cigar Masters, and Boston Ballet. They also enjoyed food and drink from Clarke, C. Crowell Fine Confections, Bauer Wine & Spirits, Stella Artois, and Hangar 1 Vodka. Range Rover brought two beautiful models that evening, the 2013 Evoque 5 Door and the 2013 Supercharged, and guests were able to get behind the wheel. It's safe to say that everyone left in the holiday spirit. In December, Mitchell Gold and Bob Williams personally hosted a packed party for their newly expanded Back Bay showroom, and we were happy to partner with them for the evening. Guests from Boston's vibrant design scene enjoyed cocktails made with Macallan scotch, hors d'oeuvres, and music by New York's DJ Lady Bunny in the new splitlevel spaceā€”a hot party to thaw the deep freeze outside. And there are many more ahead as we look forward to spring.
