Pitstick takes the reins as NRCS's full-time Pike County District Conservationist At the beginning of the New Year, a new face filled the NRCS office here in Pike County. Vince Pitstick was assigned to be the county's full time District Con- ser vationist, taking the reins from Travis Gogel, who shared his time between Gibson and Pike. Vince started his NRCS career as an intern and worked his way through the ranks to become a District Conser vation- ist. His first stint in this position is Pike County. Vince's family is from the Dubois County area where he still resides. The name Pitstick may be familiar to some as Vince's father, Bart, just recently retired after several decades as the NRCS District Conser vationist for Dubois County. Feel free to stop in and meet Vince and learn what programs the NRCS has for conser ving our natural resources.
